It was a short walk due to the humidity but a walk all the same! The crepe myrtles are in bloom and we’re not quite far enough into the summer that everything has turned brown from the heat! It’s all very green here at the moment! <!–more–>

Knowing that physically walking my neighborhood isn’t possible without help (too many hills and my husband always gets home late from work and doesn’t have the energy to help me), I am opting to go out on my back deck and do lots of observing. Our neighborhood is very quiet and our house is kinda secluded from others now that the leaves are on the…[Read more]

I think Mondays depend a lot on what your life situation is. For some, it’s a return to work (and possibly drudgery), for some it may be getting some alone time after a spouse or other housemates have been home all weekend.
How is Monday for you?

Ok, if you start driving now @nikki-massie (10 a.m.) I’m guessing from Baltimore to the Albany, NY area you should be here in time for dinner. 😃

I used a bottled marinade to try something new with country ribs and…oh…my…GOSH! It turned out so good!
My family is not really made up of creative eaters. If they were, I’d totally do a “build your own bowl” sort of set up off of this. As it stands I think it will either be pork tacos or pork nachos for them and I’ll make myself a little…[Read more]

By the way, I did change the master task list to reflect this swap.

So in making the task list I did a lot of rearranging of tasks and looking at the originally planned day 10 task (buy yourself something fragrant like flowers or a candle and use it) was too close to yesterday’s task. So I made a swap between days 10 and 16.
(Plus it keeps us on our toes, right?)
Today’s task is:
Go for a leisurely walk. Snap…[Read more] -

Um, this almost a daily occurrence for me; I’ve got a bottle of Epsom salts with empty young living bottles in it that I soak in for sleep. My loving nieces MADE body butter, a candle, lavender bath salts, some lip balms & I forget what else for my birthday. The bath says are about gone.

Daycamp shuttle all week!!!  Meaning, I’ll be grabbing a lunch at the corner store for Peanut Butter (daughter’s camp name; she’s a PAL2) & a McDonald’s cinnamon-melt for her daily. This is our day camp tradition for the past 5 years; I’m sad thinking that next summer is her last.
As for me:
drink water, schedule & do my PT
plan menus fir the w…[Read more]

I also only have a shower so I made the most of it! Washed up and used the company bath wash! Then took my warm towel out of the dryer and relaxed while applying some cream!! Happy clean and relaxed!

Thanks for clarifying. I physically cannot do baths right now. Anyway, I am making this my “pass” day. I normally take relaxing showers and all products I use have heavenly scents (my shampoo and conditioner have rose oil in them and the body wash I am using right now is Aveeno apricot yogurt wash).
