  • I appreciate your perspective.

  • hmm, I kind of wish I hadn’t posted…

I had to be at work at 5 am on Wednesday. Monday I didn’t shop, and I don’t remember why. I think I worked late. Tuesday I had a business dinner. Wednesday I left work at 4:30, so that was over 11 hours. So I collapsed on the couch and caught up with TV. I had leftovers from the business dinner Tues for…[Read more]

    1. Set a plan (done)
    2. Go to work early on Monday (done) and troubleshoot the issues. (done)
    3. Prioritize my work tasks and set reasonable expectations for completion. If they don’t all get done by the deadline (which is Friday for a bunch of them), be OK with it.
    4. Grocery shopping Monday night. Get more salads, snacks, and drinks for work…

  • Sounds like a good week. Have fun at Zumba!

  • Agree on the stress management – let us core group of FNC help out for you if needed. And if you need more text-accountability-gym buddies, I’m in. Mutually beneficial. Or, kick the food demo to one of us and see what happens? Technology already makes them interesting. I think people are interested in learning more.

I’m a good tech person so if…[Read more]

    1. groceries, done
    2. book club – later today if I don’t die
    3. financial planning – excellent. have a plan for a new car.
    4. GM receipt – need to be in my office for more than 5 minutes. I’m still hanging in the lab. Argh.
    5. Assessment is on the schedule, too. For tonight
    6. I’m about to kill myself here at work, so I will do something for me.
  • Color Coding. Work projects I use the clear plastic file jackets so that I can organize them by priority or similarity (I have too many projects and not enough colors to have one color per project and get them all filed).  As I take notes, I change colors of pens to separate the dates so I can find it. I have a three ring binder with tabs so I…[Read more]

  • OK, I’m late. But if I don’t post nothing will happen.

I grocery shopped yesterday and they were out of my grab-go salads, so I have to shop again tonight. But I have snacks for work and am set there. Half way completed.

I must plan the book club this week. By Thursday. I planned the first meeting and realized I needed a whole schedule instead.…[Read more]

Do you base your life on a calorie target versus a protein one? I’m curious.

Wishing you good luck on the job situation. Companies can be evil sometimes.

Good morning. I’m hoping today will be less stress, but it’s already pretty messy. My poor new guy, and then the other boss who’s undermining my authority. I need to be assertive without being a witch. Not my strong suit.

My parents are evacuating from outside Charleston. It’s their first hurricane they can plan for, and my Mom is flipping out.…[Read more]

LOL. I’m glad you were riveted. I did my weekly update over there in that post. And I logged my food. I’m actually under for today. Amazing what breakneck busy does for me. I may have a protein ice cream bar for a snack. I think I’ve earned it.

I even thought about the assessment but I have to go find it – it’s over on my other laptop, which I…[Read more]

  • Ok – sweep response –

Escaped my comfort zone. Overall not a bad thing. I’m learning to live in the moment with the pain of why I cried last night about the party.

    I shopped Monday for food.

I’m surviving the stress. Today was victory because we accomplished new tasks. We were successful, even if in small doses. There are still stressors, but…[Read more]

    BookClub: who’s in?
I’m thinking meet monthly, especially with the 5k, and holiday activities coming.

I have reached out to the author and she doesn’t have any discussion questions so I have to look at the book to organize our schedule, but if you want a head start: Half-Assed, A Weight Loss Memoir, By Jennette Fulda.

I have the Ebook version…[Read more]

Nik, how did we sync our periods from several states away? I’m commenting in the daily check in. I have a lot to say, and I’m still figuring out where to say it. I should do my mid-week check in, and I hope to do it later. But I need to be accountable to more than just ONE person that SOMEONE TELL ME TO LOG MY DAMN FOOD.

    I haven’t logged since…[Read more]

I try to take lunch and leave the premises. Eating in the office is healthier food-wise, but not mentally. I need to leave, and escape. Must happen.

  • The whole locker room/no ladies room thing is a long story. I know I’m behind on fluids today but finding a potty in NYC is tricky. So it was a balance. I may have gotten close.

  • @nikki-massie I’m about to call you out again… we have the support call and you give us your plan, but you don’t post a weekly action plan? do you do it daily? is it a mystery? or am I just not seeing it in the right spot? I literally just went looking for it to mid-week sweep you. Not to be a brat, but to support you right back. Because I find…[Read more]
