  • Okay, mid-week sweep. Pretty much going as planned. Planning and prepping breakfasts and lunches has really been beneficial. Being able to pack my lunches without any preparation everyday has made it less stressful and pretty much not straying to not so good food choices. My breakfasts, although tasty, don’t seem to be agreeing with my stomach. So…[Read more]

  • Thanks so much @nikki-massie!!! I received my packages yesterday and love everything. PB2 is one of my favorites (especially the one with chocolate) because I love peanut butter. The power crunch bars are delicious and mint chocolate flavor is another one of my favorites!!!

  • I am hoping this week will go much more smoothly than last week. I have an appointment with my therapist on Monday, having a bone scan of my hands on Wednesday and chiropractor on Thursday. I will be picking up my grandson everyday at 1 pm (except Wednesday). All meals are planned for the week and my breakfasts and lunches are all prepped. In…[Read more]

Grocery shopping done. Meals planned, some prep done (breakfast and lunch). Worked on my daily schedule for the week with the hope that it goes much smoother than last week.

Forgot to eat breakfast today, leftover veal and peppers (and a little linguini) for lunch, steak and baked potato for dinner.

  • Thanks @nikki-massie!!! I figured that out yesterday and have ordered them.

Today I am feeling a little less guilty, stressed, anxious and negative. In fact I started feeling a little better yesterday after I picked up my grandson and seeing his smiling face and the I love you’s and kisses from him. My son played hockey all through college and yeah, you’d think I’d be used to injuries (and still plays occasionally) and he…[Read more]

    Thanks @lissam124!!!

  • Thanks for checking in on me!! This week has really taken a toll on me. Needless to say, most of my plans weren’t accomplished. I did manage to make all of my dinners except the one on Tuesday (turkey meatball stroganoff). It’s ironic that I mentioned the curve ball above and it actually did happen in a big way. I’m still not quite over the guilt…[Read more]

  • You know how life can throw you curve balls to your plans/schedule? Well yesterday life threw me one heck of a curve ball!!! It was about an hour before my daughter-in-law was to pick up my 4 year old grandson and wham, my grandson hit his head on a tile floor!! He had a small gash on his forehead which bleeding quite a bit. I also realized head…[Read more]

My planning paid off, at least for today. I had my 6 month check up this morning with my bariatric surgeon and he’s extremely pleased with my progress and impressed on how well my bloodwork was. He said to keep up with what I have been doing. I talked a little with him about how it seems that I’ve become lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant and…[Read more]

  • @robin-miller, I could only find these books on Amazon. Are either one the correct one? If not, would you let me know where you got yours. Thanks.

  • Thanks Nikki!! It’s just that sometimes life throws us a curve ball no matter how well planned/organized your day is scheduled. I’m just trying to prepare myself in case this happens. I do have quite a few scheduled dr appointments this week therefore I want my daily plan/schedule to play through without any hiccups, but also need to face reality…[Read more]

Grocery shopped this morning (meals listed in weekly plan). Did some meal prepping and worked a detailed schedule for this week.

Dinner today were hamburgers and buffalo chickpea salad.

  • I’m hoping this week will be a little less stressful than last week. Did lots of planning and partial prepping of meals for the week. So this week my plan is:

    1. Follow through with my written daily schedule I set up for this week which includes all obligations as well as what needs to be done to finish preparing dinners.
    2. Work on my 5k training,…

  • Nik, I don’t know what to say but am deeply sorry for what you have to deal with right now and as everyone has said we are there for you just like you are always there for us. I’m in as far as what our community decides to help YOU.

    Hugs and prayers!! 💗💗💗

  • For the most part I did manage to eat healthy this week. Other than that, I didn’t do so well with planning my time, following the 5k training (although I was quite active) and didn’t finish my self assessment (and am totally bummed about this).

This weekend it is my goal to do some serious planning around my new routine. So I will be be making…[Read more]

Today is going to be “catch up” day, since my whole daily routine has changed dramatically. Need to do some serious planning for this weekend so I will feel less stressed. Definitely need to plan meals better, find time for me and my 5k training, etc. I am totally bummed as I didn’t finish my self assessment on time, but will continue to work on…[Read more]

I am having a little trouble adjusting to my new daily routine (picking up my grandson from Pre-K everyday at 1:00 p.m.). I seem be trying to get as much as possible done before I leave to get him unless I have a scheduled appointment in the morning (about 12:15 p.m.), and getting myself stressed and overwhelmed, especially making sure I have…[Read more]

  • Starting this week I will be picking up my oldest grandson everyday at 1 pm since he’s starting Pre-K this year. I am really looking forward to doing this, but I need to plan my days really carefully. I, like Nikki, purchased a physical planner for the rest of this year and I also purchased a planner for next year. I have almost finished…[Read more]
