Unplugged and sat on my porch. Drank 86 ounces so far. Ate about 15 minutes ago, and will head to bed in about an hour. Ate almost everything at home: dug up 4 bushes, and was so hungry and tired that I got an ice cream cone from McDonald’s. Was going to get a burger or something else, but got a cone instead (much healthier). In hinds…[Read more]

LOL Robin! I unplugged for nearly two hours today, which is rare! I’ll stop eating by 7:30 and did eat meals prepared at home, although I stopped at the grocery store to get a protein bar after an extra hard workout. I’m at 62 oz. of water and not sure I can push 10 more in!

Today, what brings me joy has been reconnecting with a support person that I lost touch with my local bariatric support group. I learned the truth as to why she and I lost touch. Breaks my heart; however, I am joyful she is here and was able to finally speak the truth regarding her former marriage

Yes, I confess, I am that OCD. I just can’t bring myself to report it for the 28th on the day 27 thread!
100 ounces in so far. About to be 120 as soon as my 30 minutes tick by.
Unplugged most of the morning.
Snack will be closer than an hour before bed so I can get a decent amount of sleep.
All meals were homemade and eaten at home.

True fact: I have a mind thing about Jell-O! (shiver)
Ok so:
string cheese (usually 80 cals/8g protein per stick)
edamame
Ostrim Jerky (think Slim Jim but with mega-protein. They are sold at GNC.)
Moon Cheese (for when you get the crunchy munchies – look them up on Amazon. They are sold at Starbucks – which means they can be pricey – but…[Read more] -

Woot woot! Good session with the nutritionist.
So let’s get started with the snack brainstorm. Tell me what you absolutely HATE. We can go from there. 😉

I will soon have fresh picked tomatoes!
My challenge is not to fuss over the plants so much that I kill them lol. But I see more and more flowers popping out little baby tomatoes. It makes me so happy.
That was random, I know. But your marinara comment made me think of it. 🙂

Today is get the house ready for company day. Actually company’s not coming until Friday and Saturday, but my husband’s birthday is tomorrow and I will be busy making his favorite dinner and baking his favorite cake.
So, I’ve already mopped the kitchen, next up is vacuuming the house and getting caught up on laundry.

I think you’ve noted something important though. You get FULL joy out of quilting when you do it with others. Do you think there’s any opportunity to do it locally with others, or does that not interest you?
I wish you lived closer. I am dying to learn! We have enough PA folks where some sort of meet-up almost seems required!

Mid week check in…food is all on track and I’m following my weekly plan. I’ve only walked 13 miles (goal is 35 for the week), so time to get my ass in gear!!

So here’s where I go all Dr. Phil (except cuter) on you…
I know that you’ve been in pain lately. Do you think that contributed to you turning to those foods? Are those comfort foods for you?
You’ve probably heard me say before that even when we do things we wish we didn’t do, we are getting something out of doing it. So I guess I would…[Read more]

I’ve been asking myself this question more and more lately. I want to spend more time on things that bring me joy and less on things that do not.
Just to be clear: I understand that not everything is joyful. Paying bills isn’t really joyful (although I am grateful I have the money to pay them), but I am working on approaching life in general with…[Read more]

Im not 100% sure it’s the water. I call this phenomenon “feast and famine.” Sometimes I can eat a lot (feast) and sometimes not much at all (famine). I’ve been eating intuitively for about four years now (meaning if I can eat a lot, and I’m hungry, I go with it but try for highly nutritious food, and when I can’t eat much I don’t.)
This time is…[Read more]

Sending positive vibes, Kathy. Things will get better, things will get better… And this will make you feel better about your food choices (Nikki, I’m owning up to it): today, I had protein drinks, ego waffles, 2 Hershey bars, a nonfat latte, spaghetti-o’s, mashies, and (gulp) 5 packs of banana dippers. Embarrasing, but it was my day. To…[Read more]

Unplugged, drank 65 ounces, ate about 45 minutes ago. Didn’t cook anything today, but ate at home. Feeling very shaky today, hopefully tomorrow will be better, and I’ll cook a meal.

Unplugged and hit 72 oz. of water. Prepped my meals as planned, and will stop eating by 7:30.
The water hasn’t had that impact for me, Nikki, but I would go with it for sure!
