I’m at 68 ounces right now, was unplugged all morning and am having roast and veggies for dinner. I had a shake for breakfast at home (didn’t take it in the car with me to the grocery store). Lunch was a turkey and provolone “sandwich” on two of my cream cheese/egg pancakes. These are working out really well as a bread substitute.

Hmmmmm. Okay, this week, along with getting my steps in, I want to add in some exercise videos that I dug out this weekend. I would like to say that I’m going to do them 3x this week, but realistically, I’ll be doing good to get it done once.
I’ve done a bunch of meal prep for the week.
Breakfast will be shakes, cottage cheese or omelets
Lunch…[Read more]

Today has been busy! I literally didn’t sit down from the time I got up before 6 AM until I sat down to eat lunch at 1. Except for in the car driving to and from the grocery store. Housework mostly caught up. Meal prep for the week as done as can be done.
Steps are done for the day (actually I’m about 7,500 steps over goal)
Breakfast was a…[Read more]

Nikki & I were just saying today that one of our easiest fast meals is deli meat & cheese rolled up with a pickle, bell pepper, or cucumber! Another short cut I use is a rotisserie chicken without the skin. I add a little Rao’s marinara sauce and cheese, or throw it in a salad and voila!

Welcome! I also sit (and talk on the phone) for a living, which is ironic given that I’m a total introvert. I’m in the other Washington (Seattle). Glad you’re here 🙂

And the water is definitely becoming more habitual! 40 oz. so far, and food is all home prepped today.
BTW, what’s the July challenge?

Welcome! We seem to have a lot of evening action here in the FNC so I’m sure others will log on and say hi as well.
I’m glad you’re here.

Hi, Lissa and welcome to the family! This is a great place to be! I’m Robin and am 2.5 years post-op RNY and am also trying to lose that last 25 pounds!
40 is just a fond memory for me (I’m 61),but I do have a 36 year old daughter who is a social worker in Boston. I live in Hewitt, TX just a hair south of Waco where we’re already having temps in…

I feel pretty confident about how we are all going into these last few days of the challenge. You all have prepped well. You’ve identified times when it’s not possible to follow this week’s habit (which is an awesome thing), and you’ve made strategies on what you will do instead (which is double awesome).
YOU GOT THIS! I’m so stinking proud of…[Read more]

I feel good today! I think it’s the weather.
Today is a fairly normal Monday. I brought all my food for the day, per the challenge. I’m going to try to get out for a walk at lunchtime because the weather is just GORGEOUS! (Did I mention there’s beautiful weather? LOL)
Not to sound like a broken record but tonight I’m hosting a “Vitamin Show &…[Read more]

I can’t believe July is almost here! Yikes.
Here’s my plan for this week. I’m doing it a little more detailed this week just to make sure I have my bases covered.
Self-Care
For my sanity, I NEED to finish switching out my seasonal clothes. I’ve had time to do it, I just haven’t. That will get done over the course of the weeknights of this…[Read more]

I can’t speak for anyone else but for me it’s necessity. I feed myself + four other grown people so food goes quickly! When cooking for myself I usually make two things. My kids are in charge of Taco Tuesday. And then we always have at least one “wing it” night (which this week will be when we make “zushi”).
I think it’s probably pretty…[Read more]

Here’s my plan:
B: chocolate zucchini protein muffins
L: chicken lettuce wraps
D: carnitas & salad and/or pico
S: snap pea crisps or homemade protein cheesecakes
Workouts: I’m super sore from a crazy workout yesterday which included 35 flights of stairs on a water tower! I’ll keep up with the 2 strength workouts and focus on increasing…[Read more]

I don’t know how some people make different meals for each day – that sounds like so much work! Luckily, I’m very content with eating the same thing several days in a row. The heat this weekend is getting to me…it hit 95 here. Trust and believe that I know that sounds whiny, but Seattle has NO AIR CONDITIONING! Most of the businesses don…[Read more]

Just wanted to report in before I head to bed early. 80+ ounces in, unplugged most of the day, about to have my snack before bed.
Some of the meals I have planned for the week are :
Breakfast – shakes, cottage cheese with fruit or peanut butter in it, eggs (most likely omelets)
Lunch – leftover roast and veggies, sandwiches made with my grocery…[Read more]

One thing I’m finding is that the more I do healthy things, the more my body craves healthy things. Now if I go too long without drinking, I crave water. (And because I forced myself to drink plain water as opposed to Crystal Light, etc. now only plain water really quenches that craving.) The unplugging as well. I had a love, unplugged day…[Read more]
