@kspot42 I love them! The 3/4 sleeve cardigans are a great look too. May I ask where you shopped?, that blue and white dress really caught my eye. My new body shape really likes dresses. Are the dresses a new part of your wardrobe, as in you weren’t a dress wearer before? Or (like me)is it just all clothing shopping that causes panic/no idea where…[Read more]

OK, big confession here, decades clean and my traditional “Dragon” addictions are still an issue. Maybe not in a daily sense, but under stress, they worm they way around my brain. Food was/is my legal, socially acceptable addiction, in a sense it may be harder to combat because (in my experience) no one really confronts you about eating cheesecake…[Read more]

CyndieD replied to the topic POLL: How many CALORIES a day do you eat? in the forum Open Discussion 7 years, 7 months ago
I was never given a post-op (sleeve) calorie goal. I had my surgery through a clinic that advertises aggressively and was willing to take cash pay patients. BIG Mistake! The nutritionist on staff did not know the difference between weight and volume.
That said, my guidance was to aim for 70-80 grams protein and 64 oz fluid. My actual intake…[Read more]

We were in in Seattle for a few days in September, it has changed so much since 2002 when I last lived in the area. I love the City, the weather, the clear blue waters and the seasons that I just dont get here in Houston. My strugglebus has navigation issues this week. We have been finalizing things for a Puyallup move (narrowing down apartments…[Read more]

Last time my daughter and I drove to Dallas, we went up I35 and hit the Waco Bakery and then came home via I45 through Corsicana so we could go to that Bakery too. Between Collin Street Bakery and Buc-ee’s, Texas road trips are the best. My husband has already lamented the loss of Buc-ees when we move back to Washington in May.

Okay,I did it. I followed the @nikki-massie challenge email and took the suggested Meyers-Briggs type personality test. I am an Architect, INTJ -A/-T. It is not exactly a flattering personality type, but I believe it to be quite accurate. Less than 2% of the population shares my type. According to the website “many fictional villains (and…[Read more]

@robin-miller , I am in Houston. So more of a SE Texas location. We often are in Jasper or Huntsville or Port Arthur kayaking and fishing at state parks. My daughter and I cannot drive through Waco without stopping at Collin Street Bakery, we get a half dozen mixed cookies and I get a bite (okay, sometimes half a cookie, okay honestly-sometimes…[Read more]

@Kwarfield Well, how did your empty the fridge and freezer shopping and cooking go? I ask because I had a similar experience a few days ago. I woke up to the freezer door open and everything defrosted. The DH and I went grocery replacement shopping and didn’t do as good nutritionally as I had hoped. I am curious to see how your plan of attack went.

I originally posted this as a reply to @kspot42 and her “Bad Day” post, I deleted it and am presenting it stand alone as my experience differed a bit from her issues with the Mama June news blitz.
“Oh wow, I am having some FB and family text issues concerning the same celebrity (Mama June, right?) I am getting the questions of why I haven’t had…[Read more]

Hello all, My name is Cyndie and as you can tell from the title, I am struggling. Right now it is a struggle in SE Texas but in May, it will be a struggle and a return to western Washington. I am just a bit over a year out from receiving a gastric sleeve and have lost 89% of my excess weight. The last 11% has been really, really difficult, I…[Read more]
