Baked egg cups! Dice up veggies (the favorites in my house are green onions and red bell pepper), diced meat (ham, bacon, sausage, chicken, pretty much anything) spray a muffin tin and divide the meat and veggies between the cups. Beat eggs (add some unflavored protein powder if you want) pour the eggs over the veggies and meat. Bake for about 20…[Read more]

If you have a Costco they sell their day old rotisserie chicken in air sealed bags the chicken is fantastic! That is my go to for easy meals.
There are also some flavorless protein powders you can mix in to things I have done it in pancakes (for my kids), soup, maranara sauce, and I’m sure there are a million other things you could mix it in to…[Read more]

Hamburger patties in gravy. I make them with plain gravy or mushroom gravy.
Chicken in the crockpot cooked with whatever you want on top. Currently, my favorite is green chili salsa. I’ve done beef roast like this before with regular salsa. Let it cook all day and it will be extremely tender
Rotisserie chicken from the grocery store. My store…[Read more]

With me I drink water and only water. But it has to be cold water. Like ice cold. Honestly I would prefer to just eat ice. I don’t do fruit juice because it’s too sweet, soda HURTS even just a sip. Milk is no good it makes my mouth itch.
I do drink my protein drinks. But again they have to be cold.
In order to make sure I get enough fluids in…[Read more]

as the seasons change fluids become SUPER important. They are important anyways but the dangers of dehydration are more so during the summer.
What do you do to help get your fluid in? Do you have a favorite beverage or additive? What are some of your struggles?

Well I made it to the gym this morning and got on the elliptical for about 30 minutes. I really need to find something to boost my cardio days. I use to love the elliptical but now I’m bored. It’s still too cold in the mornings to walk outside.
Breakfast shake
lunch left over ribs and cauliflower
dinner tilapia

I’m feeling somewhat overwhelmed today. The last couple of days have not gone well. I’m trying to get my attitude adjusted to a more positive frame of mind. My husband’s going to work today. I don’t know if his back is better from taking yesterday off or if he’s worried that taking time off could cost him his job. Either way, he’s going to work.…[Read more]

Done, very thought provoking. I know there are a few things I truly miss and I know what they are. I just need to figure out how to make them a priority.

Today has not gone as planned so far. My husband is still home due to back pain and the fact that the meds the dr put him on put him to sleep. Mostly planned to do things around the house as it’s supposed to be stormy today. But someone is asleep in the recliner in the living room.
Breakfast was a ham and cheese omelet. (A very nice change from…[Read more]

HAPPY WEDNESDAY EVERYONE!!
I would love it if everyone shared a little trick, habit, life hack or what ever that works for you!
I drink protein shakes for breakfast. Every day. If I don’t I go for sugary starchy breakfasts.
Also for things that I KNOW I will mindlessly snack on like nuts. I take the whole container and separate it out in to…[Read more]

Food wise I have done pretty well today. I had my shake for breakfast, Chicken and “refried” beans (just mashed beans and garlic.. no extra fat) dinner was more chicken and beans (it…[Read more]
