Mini pledge check-in! I didn’t do as well as I had hoped on getting liquids in. Actually, I stunk at it. But, hey, from where I am now, it can only get better! ?

Working on the Self Evaluation and the 5K, of course. Along with my cleaning out the house. This week I’m planning on getting our home office cleaned out. (that’s the room with the blue walls that you always comment on, Nikki). If I can get that room done, the rest of the house will seem easy! I just hope that I can get it done in a week!
Meals…[Read more]

Started the day by sleeping in for a change. Then up and busy. The hope is to get some outside things done over the weekend. Mowing and trimming the yard and moving some plantings around to make room for some new crepe myrtles we bought for the front of the house. However, while the temperature outside isn’t all that terrible, the humidity is a…[Read more]

Another day of cleaning out the house. Of course, now that the workers that volunteered to quit are gone, rumors are running wild. The funny thing is, they’re coming from another company location! My husband is getting after work phone calls from friends at the company location two hours from us about what their hearing is going to happen and w…[Read more]

I posted about (vented) in my daily check-in. Tomorrow will be a very interesting day at my husband’s work as all the ones that took the separation package will be gone. Hopefully, we’ll find out more about what’s going to happen with the rest of the employees. Whatever it is, we can deal with it. We just need to know what “it” is so we can.

Today is a strange one. It started on a good note. All of my husband’s family that have been dealing with Harvey are safe and sound. The ones that weren’t effected by the initial storms have had to be evacuated yesterday due to overflowing reservoirs or the second landfall of Harvey. We had a very tense night as one of the cousins that had been…[Read more]

I can’t seem to get going today. I’m sleeping at night but don’t seem to be resting. That’s making it difficult for me to get started in the mornings.
More of the same for me today. Cleaning out the house as much as I can. I got rid of a bunch of stuff that I haven’t been using out of the kitchen yesterday. I’m hoping to get more of it done…[Read more]

Good Morning my friends! This morning has been better. I got one basket of laundry folded. Kids got off to school on time and now I’m getting ready for work. Today I’m practicing letting go. My husband has to go get his stitches out and make a decision about his dental implants. He also has to take both boys to the doc to get there prescriptions…[Read more]

@kperevosnik (woohoo drop downs work) I have a BIG problem with portion control also and buying stuff in smaller bags is nice but expensive so I buy in bulk (the bigger the better) and then I portion the ENTIRE bag out in 1/2 cup servings in to Snack size zip-locks. then I put all the zip-locks in to a box that has handles that snap over the lid.…[Read more]

So far I have almost 2500 steps in so rage cleaning does good for me but it makes my day interesting. Today is my day off and I actually have time most of this morning so I’m planning on…[Read more]

Today has started out at a wonderfully cool upper 60s. Such a treat for us here! I’m starting my day with a dental appointment. I have a chip in a tooth that the dentist wants to fill in as it’s a bit irritating. After that it’s back to cleaning out the house. I’ve already been “yelled” at by the dog for being 10 minutes late feeding her.…[Read more]

Micro nutrition stresses me out! I did a program once that stressed me out so bad I think I might have a little PTSD from it. So I can safely say no I don’t track micro nutrients

Time to get busy and get as much cleaned out of my house as possible. That being said, I’m also going to take so time to make sure that I have what I need available so I don’t fall victim to foods that I shouldn’t be eating. I’m planning on making a BIG batch of Unjury peanut butter protein balls in chocolate and strawberry (mmmmmm! Tastes like…[Read more]
