I have to admit, it’s starting to feel a little lonesome in the forum!
Today we’ve settled on all the flooring and almost the carpet (there’s one carpet color my husband wants me to see before we finalize that) and all the paint colors. WOOHOO!! Progress!
We are both feeling very tired these days. Today, I feel like I’m slogging through thick…[Read more]

This has been a very long week and while I’d like to say it’s over, the weekend looks to be just as long!
Finishing up picking out the new floors for most of the house. Now, a decision on carpet and we’ll finally be able to move forward on the rest. Paying bills and picking up something to cook in the oven. We’ve gone from a high of 84 yesterday…[Read more]

Slow day for me today. Errands are run, laundry is in process and dinner is already fixed. (confession time… When I was at the grocery store I bought a Mexican grilled chicken meal. It always make my husband happy and I don’t have to cook!) Fluids are half done and so are my steps.
Breakfast was an Unjury shake
Lunch was a shrimp cocktail with…[Read more]

Good Morning!
My dog got me up before the alarm went off and I felt like there was really no point in going back to bed. It’s paid off for my husband though. He’s got really nice lunches made for the rest of the week. And I have a sink full of pots, pans and cooking utensils to wash. But I have to admit, 5:30 AM is a very peaceful time to…[Read more]

I’m home again (YAY!) but am very tired and hurting from the bed we slept in for two nights and riding in the car for most of two days. I only got my liquids in on one of the three days (riding in the car and drinking lots of liquids don’t really mix well). So today I’m really concentrating on drinking lots and lots. I have my steps done (planning…[Read more]

We’re heading home from Baytown this morning (in about an hour) so a good part of my day will be spent in the car.
Getting steps and liquids in probably will not happen. My eating, however, has been spot on! Out to eat twice at unfamiliar restaurants and I was able to stick completely to my food plan and still enjoy myself thoroughly. Even on the…[Read more]

It seems like my weeks are all the same lately. Working on cleaning out the house, getting my steps in and trying to get all my 80 ounces of liquids in. It seems like I don’t do anything else!
Hopefully I’ll get some meal prep done.
That’s pretty much it.

Good Morning! It’s a very rainy day here in Baytown. There’s nothing like being away from home to make you realize just how comfortable your own bed is!
I have no idea what today will bring. We were up late last night watching Houston get to the World Series! GO ASTROS!!!!
We’re just now about to eat breakfast (at almost lunchtime) and I have no…[Read more]

I’m up and going early today. We’re getting ready to head out to Baytown to visit my husband’s oldest sister and his older brother. It will be an emotional day for us as we’ll be visiting the cemetery where my husband’s parents are buried and by their house. We sold the house back at the first of the year and it’s been totally redone. I really…[Read more]

I’m here! I’m here!
It’s been a bit of a crazy, long day! We had to get up early and go to Temple for my husband’s recheck appointments for his back. The doctor was very pleased with the results of the injections. But, probably not as pleased as we are!
Then back to Hewitt to the flooring store to pick up some samples. Home to look at the…[Read more]

Things are starting to happen at my husband’s work. We don’t know if this is a good thing or not yet. But even my husband is admitted to being stressed which is a really big deal for him.
Steps are done, liquids are a work in progress.
I’m pretty much useless today due to a bad night’s sleep.
On the good side of things, my 27 year old son…[Read more]

I’ve been to the flooring company and it looks like we’ll hopefully have a decision on our floors by the end of the weekend.

I’m COLD!!!!!!! We’ve gone from the mid 90’s on Saturday to 45 degrees this morning! So far we’ve managed to get up to 60! My thin Texas blood wasn’t ready for this!
I’m working on the front bedroom today. So far, it’s going quicker than expected. My husband’s more and more feeling like we need to get the house ready to sell as quickly as…[Read more]

This week (on Monday) my oldest baby turns 37. How did she get so old? How did I get so old?!
I’m going to try prepping as many of my breakfasts and lunches as I can. This is a new thing for me. I have my breakfasts done already. I made scotch eggs. Lunches may not be prepped until Monday as I have my husband’s lunches to do today. For me, I’m…[Read more]

Today’s been pretty good. A cold front that was supposed to bring rain and temps in the upper 40s this morning, didn’t. It’s very windy but the sun is shining and we stayed in the 60s all day. Now tomorrow morning is supposed to be in the 40s.
After church we had a quick lunch and then went shopping for some dress pants for hubby (no luck there)…[Read more]
