It’s hard to do without feeling boastful, but here goes. I am compassionate. I am sensitive.

Susan Sheipe replied to the topic April 26 Pop-Up Challenge: RAK! in the forum Open Discussion 7 years, 7 months ago
I tried to come up with a RAK, but wasn’t successful😊. I got waved thru stop signs, there was nobody behind me in line at Walmart that I could let go ahead of me… But I like the thought of doing something kind on purpose, so I’ll see if I can do something in the next few days. It’s actually kind of fun, just thinking about what to do.

I’m so sorry to hear this. They truly are our family, and sometimes their passing can hurt more than losing our human family. Fifteen is a great age for a large dog, and I’m sure she was well loved.
My best to you, hugs.

I’m glad to see you went to your counselor, and didn’t give up. It’s a big step, but can be SO helpful.

Thanks. It’s milk chocolate, namely Hershey bars…my weakness. I’ve noticed a few times now that the headaches get worse when I eat them, so I think I’ll avoid them for awhile and see if it helps.

I like that you are proud of your journey. You should be!
My fear…people. I have social anxiety, especially one-on-one with people. I’ve mentioned it to Nik, but I’m putting it out here. Just joining this group and talking is a cause for stress. But, I’m going to keep at it, and hopefully it will continue to get easier as I go, esp…[Read more]

Headache back today. I had chocolate yesterday, will need to experiment a little and see if there’s a connection there. Seem to feel better when I’m not eating it. Was also moving patio furniture yesterday, so I might have irritated my neck again.
Today, I’m going to assemble the patio chairs that I didn’t get to do last week. Since tom…[Read more]

I got nerve block shots in my neck last Tuesday, and my headache is much better today. I get more shots this Tuesday, and next Tuesday. So my week depends a little on pain management.
I’ve lost 3 lbs this past week, and the only real change I made is to drink more. So I’m going to continue with that this week.
I’m going to work on my master c…[Read more]

Dumping is definitely not fun! Remember that feeling, so you won’t be tempted again in the future. It’s the surgery working for you😊

I’m going to track everything I eat today, and try to stick to 1300 calories or less. My ex went shopping with me yesterday, and I bought an outdoor dining set. He helped me assemble the table, but I have 6 chairs I’ll be assembling today. I also assembled my new grill last night. Busy day.
My cat stayed overnight at the vet yesterday after so…[Read more]

I hope you had good luck with the doctor today. I’m dealing with depression and anxiety myself right now. I’m starting with a new therapist May 5th, who also deals with eating disorders. It’s hard to know who will be a good “fit”, but just going is a great first step. It’s so smart to be proactive and not wait until your depression gets too…[Read more]

Not doing great on the fluids, but better than usual. I did get over 50 ounces once this week, so far. Made an appointment with my neurologist, but can’t get in until next week, so I’m weaning myself off of the depression meds to see if that helps. Made an appointment with a new psychologist that specializes in eating disorders, in addition to r…[Read more]

My plan for this week starts with taking care of myself medically. I’ve had a headache every day for the last 3 1/2 weeks, so I’m calling my neurologist tomorrow. It could be from my new depression/anxiety meds, but since my neck is also knotted up, it’s hard to say. Also going to call my therapist and start seeing him again.
In addition, I’…[Read more]
