Today is a really busy day! I have the two Good Measures demos this evening. I’m kind of nervous about it but I think it’ll go ok.
Most of today will be prepping for that in addition to my regular life stuff. Not sure of my food plan so I’ll report back later! No much movement likely for today and I hate that but some days it’s like that!

I’m feeling somewhat better today despite the dog waking me up at 2 AM this morning. I’m already working on my steps and liquids and have decided that today is the day I will get my weekly pledge done.
My last two week’s pledges were to add complex carbs to my food plan. That DIDN’T work out for me. The grains and starchy vegetables made my pouch…[Read more]

So today was…. interesting. And I am TIRED!!
My sister in law and her fam is here so hanging out with them was most of the day. I really wanted to just sleep but spending time with them was very needed.
Breakfast – oops forgot (bad idea)
lunch – 1/2 a hamburger patty, cheese, egg and bacon and 1/2 cup of sweet potato fries
Dinner – a couple…[Read more]

Have you heard of it? If not, check it out!
It’s a national research project that studies the habits of people who successfully lose weight and maintain weight loss. You can even join the study to add your voice to others!
But I thought I’d show you this page in particular, which are some of the habits of people in the study. Can you relate to…[Read more]

Konica said it all. I’ll just add that 5 kilometerds = 3.2 miles.
I’ll let you determine if that’s too much for where you are right now BUT I will say that I’m very passionate about there not being any speed requirements to do this. So you don’t have to walk fast!

Somehow my life went haywire and I don’t even know how. Sigh.
But here’s the rub…it’s both in GOOD and BAD ways.
Good = I got a promotion at work! Yay! (This means more money and, finally, doing the stuff I love to do)
Bad = some money that was owed to me and promised to me last week STILL has not come through so I have to hustle to make sure…[Read more]

Oh Robin, I’m sorry to hear about the stress! I think it’s good that you are thinking about how it will impact you (even though that’s probably stressful). You know what I say…preparation, preparation, preparation!
I think you’ve set forth some very realistic goals so I look forward to hearing how it all goes. I’ll check on you mid-week!

I hope you’re having a great vacation!
Carry a bottle of water with you in your bag everywhere you go!
When I was at OAC I carried my Ulla (here’s a link to what that is) and it reminded me to drink! But in the absence of that I’d just carry a bottle wherever you go and set reminders throughout the day to SIP!
I know you’ve got this. Can’t wait…[Read more]

I think you’ve got a challenge ahead of you, but certainly not one that’s insurmountable!
One good approach to take is to do what you’ve been doing – planning out your meals – and then looking at the meals you like with the intention of making them fit your requirements (not the other way around, trying to find recipes that fit your requirements…[Read more]
