  • Working on the Self Evaluation and the 5K, of course. Along with my cleaning out the house. This week I’m planning on getting our home office cleaned out. (that’s the room with the blue walls that you always comment on, Nikki). If I can get that room done, the rest of the house will seem easy! I just hope that I can get it done in a week!

    Meals…[Read more]

  • Started the day by sleeping in for a change. Then up and busy. The hope is to get some outside things done over the weekend. Mowing and trimming the yard and moving some plantings around to make room for some new crepe myrtles we bought for the front of the house. However, while the temperature outside isn’t all that terrible, the humidity is a…[Read more]

  • Cleaning, gym, school shopping.

    In that order.

Cleaning my downstairs because the other people in my house it’s OK to live in a pigsty. Ugh!

From there I am going to treat myself to an hour at the Y. And finally my daughter and I are going to go shopping for some school pants and shoes, as she starts school on Tuesday.

    I’m trying something new…[Read more]

  • I love that you’ve had such a good day. THANK YOU for sharing it!

  • Ugh this is so ANNOYING! I wrote a whole response and POOF! My Safari app quit. Bah!

    Anyhoo…

Mannnn I been a bit crazy! Got a promotion but still have a foot in my old job. Which has been a bit nuts. We are an international emergency response org and so both my current jobs (Staff Writer and social marketing manager) get nuts during things…[Read more]

  • LOL. I don’t know if you thought that I was going to oppose this message, but I totally agree! Unfortunately this week I’ve been dealing with two instances of massive flooding on either side of the world at ye olde day job: one that people care about and one that people barely know about. So I’m actually just pretty proud of myself that I was able…[Read more]

  • Busy morning!

  • Another day of cleaning out the house. Of course, now  that the workers that volunteered to quit are gone, rumors are running wild. The funny thing is, they’re coming from another company location! My husband is getting after work phone calls from friends at the company location two hours from us about what their hearing is going to happen and w…[Read more]

  • September. Yeah, baby!

I’m excited. We have lots going on here in the FNC and I wanted to make sure you knew all about it!

    1. The Self Assessment. It’s live on the site! It’s under the “Resources” section of the website menu. THIS WILL LIKELY TAKE YOU THE WHOLE 15 DAYS TO DO. But I have done it and it’s helped me immensely. I’ll be scheduling…

  • Thank you for keeping me accountable!

The Y has not happened yet. I’m not even gonna lie. But I’m thinking tomorrow is a good day to go. Nothing at all going on tomorrow. 🙂

I dunno what’s up with me today but I have been LEGIT hungry all day!

Usually I try to honor my body when I get like this by doing things like nuts and veggies.

But this is annoying so I’m about to bring out the big guns. Yes, friends. I’m about to eat a Quest Bar.

Otherwise I’ve had a breakfast sandwich and my tilapia with fire roasted…[Read more]

  • I posted about (vented) in my daily check-in. Tomorrow will be a very interesting day at my husband’s work as all the ones that took the separation package will be gone. Hopefully, we’ll find out more about what’s going to happen with the rest of the employees. Whatever it is, we can deal with it. We just need to know what “it” is so we can.

This is a super quick Drive-By check in! Today has been interesting. Today’s goals are all work related!

Get through the meeting I’m leading ON TIME!
Not trying to take it all on by myself! Realize I have a FANTASTIC team!
    and EAT ON TIME!

Breakfast was an Egg and English Toast (not enough protein I’m gonna need a shake right now)
    Lunch- Uhhh…[Read more]

Today is a strange one. It started on a good note. All of my husband’s family that have been dealing with Harvey are safe and sound. The ones that weren’t effected by the initial storms have had to be evacuated yesterday due to overflowing reservoirs or the second landfall of Harvey. We had a very tense night as one of the cousins that had been…[Read more]

  • Mid-week sweep!

Bev it’s been so nice hearing about your days in the daily thread. I’m glad we got you sorted out about that!

How are things going this week?

  • Robin, my sweet Robin…

    Mid-week sweep!

I know you’ve been cleaning furiously, trying to use up freezer food. Is there any news yet? How are you managing? I hope that you’re able to cope with the stress well. I know you already know that you can vent here as much as you want. I hope that’s helpful at least.

  • Mid-week sweep!

You’re back from vacay. Are things going well? Are you settling back into your routine? Inquiring Nikkis want to know! 🙂

  • Mid-week sweep!

First off, I’m stoked I “beat you to it.”

But secondly, how is the week going? I hope the stress is manageable. I think you’ve been handling it brilliantly.

And remember that you are a rockstar in all facets of life – but especially to me. 🙂

  • Mid-week sweep!

Ok so today is the day before back to work. How do you feel? Are you prepared?

I think you have a sound plan. Just remember to be FLEXIBLE! If somethings not working, post about it here. We’ll think it out together!
