I have to admit, it’s starting to feel a little lonesome in the forum!
Today we’ve settled on all the flooring and almost the carpet (there’s one carpet color my husband wants me to see before we finalize that) and all the paint colors. WOOHOO!! Progress!
We are both feeling very tired these days. Today, I feel like I’m slogging through thick…[Read more]

This has been a very long week and while I’d like to say it’s over, the weekend looks to be just as long!
Finishing up picking out the new floors for most of the house. Now, a decision on carpet and we’ll finally be able to move forward on the rest. Paying bills and picking up something to cook in the oven. We’ve gone from a high of 84 yesterday…[Read more]

Slow day for me today. Errands are run, laundry is in process and dinner is already fixed. (confession time… When I was at the grocery store I bought a Mexican grilled chicken meal. It always make my husband happy and I don’t have to cook!) Fluids are half done and so are my steps.
Breakfast was an Unjury shake
Lunch was a shrimp cocktail with…[Read more]

Ok so your post was spooky because it’s EXACTLY what I’m experiencing. Things that would not have stressed me out before do now. Things that would have only been slightly stressful before are off the charts. Most days I want to hide in bed but unfortunately my job isn’t having that.
It’s a hard thing to explain to people and even though you…[Read more]

Good Morning!
My dog got me up before the alarm went off and I felt like there was really no point in going back to bed. It’s paid off for my husband though. He’s got really nice lunches made for the rest of the week. And I have a sink full of pots, pans and cooking utensils to wash. But I have to admit, 5:30 AM is a very peaceful time to…[Read more]

I’m home again (YAY!) but am very tired and hurting from the bed we slept in for two nights and riding in the car for most of two days. I only got my liquids in on one of the three days (riding in the car and drinking lots of liquids don’t really mix well). So today I’m really concentrating on drinking lots and lots. I have my steps done (planning…[Read more]

Today is an anxious day. No idea why. Just is. I hate this feeling! I see my doctor on Friday. I have a therapist. Between the two of them I’ll see if they think I should be on anti-anxiety meds. Does anyone have any experience with those? @susan I’m not sure if you said you’d taken them before. I’m just wondering what they make you feel like. I…[Read more]

Today is my daughter’s 16th birthday!
As such I have abandoned most attempts at scheduled eating (I usually live and die by my eating schedule).
We are going to PF Chang’s tonight. I am not terribly hungry so I may just have the lettuce wraps. They are mega high in sodium though so..I dunno.
Other than that I had a breakfast sandwich for…[Read more]

Late getting this posted, but better late than never!
So this week is all about my daughter’s Sweet 16. Now that it’s coming up, oddly, I feel better about everything. With each thing I check off my list (which means with everything I purchase lol) I feel more prepared. I’ll probably freak out a few more times throughout this process, but for now…[Read more]

We’re heading home from Baytown this morning (in about an hour) so a good part of my day will be spent in the car.
Getting steps and liquids in probably will not happen. My eating, however, has been spot on! Out to eat twice at unfamiliar restaurants and I was able to stick completely to my food plan and still enjoy myself thoroughly. Even on the…[Read more]

It seems like my weeks are all the same lately. Working on cleaning out the house, getting my steps in and trying to get all my 80 ounces of liquids in. It seems like I don’t do anything else!
Hopefully I’ll get some meal prep done.
That’s pretty much it.

Good Morning! It’s a very rainy day here in Baytown. There’s nothing like being away from home to make you realize just how comfortable your own bed is!
I have no idea what today will bring. We were up late last night watching Houston get to the World Series! GO ASTROS!!!!
We’re just now about to eat breakfast (at almost lunchtime) and I have no…[Read more]

I’m up and going early today. We’re getting ready to head out to Baytown to visit my husband’s oldest sister and his older brother. It will be an emotional day for us as we’ll be visiting the cemetery where my husband’s parents are buried and by their house. We sold the house back at the first of the year and it’s been totally redone. I really…[Read more]

I’m here! I’m here!
It’s been a bit of a crazy, long day! We had to get up early and go to Temple for my husband’s recheck appointments for his back. The doctor was very pleased with the results of the injections. But, probably not as pleased as we are!
Then back to Hewitt to the flooring store to pick up some samples. Home to look at the…[Read more]

It’s kinda lonely in here. Robin! Where are you? 🙂
I’m late posting my check-in mostly because today has been a super challenging day. I got awakened by my boyfriend at 4 a.m. that he needed to go to the ER. He came in late last night (after I was asleep) and apparently started violently vomiting afterward. This went on for several hours before…[Read more]

Things are starting to happen at my husband’s work. We don’t know if this is a good thing or not yet. But even my husband is admitted to being stressed which is a really big deal for him.
Steps are done, liquids are a work in progress.
I’m pretty much useless today due to a bad night’s sleep.
On the good side of things, my 27 year old son…[Read more]

Please tell me I will survive this Sweet 16!
It’s not that anybody is pressuring me. My daughter is being great about everything. I have help.
It’s. This. Damn. ANXIETY! It’s making me avoid things. I really don’t need to be avoiding the party stuff. I need to get stuff done. But I seem to get overwhelmed so easily. I wish I were coping better…[Read more]
