I had a good day. I worked most of the day (BF/FNC stuff) but because that stuff is stuff I love to do, it doesn’t actually feel like work. 🙂
Eats today were ok. Went to IHOP with the kids and got an egg white scramble with turkey bacon. And I’m about to have some BBQ spare ribs with green beans. I moved a lot this afternoon but not in a…[Read more]

I actually got to sleep in this morning! Highly unusual! I’m using today to do some catch-up work around the house today. Laundry is almost done (YAY!) and I need to vacuum up the dirt where my little darling Gabriel decided taking a handful of dirt out of the huge pot I have a tree planted in and throwing it on the carpet was a good idea. After…[Read more]

Take Two report : I made a donation to “Shepherd’s Heart” which is a local Christian food bank that feeds around 300-500 families every week including delivering food to senior citizens and shut-ins. They also host a Christmas party for hundreds of homeless children every year.

Take two!
Unfortunately the website went down this afternoon (due to an update) and we had to restore a back-up. So the good news is…our site is working again. (Yay!) The bad news is…the back-up was from last night so the responses to day 4 are gone. We cannot get them back. (Le sigh…)
So I’ll just repeat what I said before. Just maybe…[Read more]

I messaged a friend of mine in Florida that I’ve been friends with since we both first got married in 1977. Both of our husbands were in the Marines and we lived next door to each other.

I’m keeping it simple, mostly because life stress has gotten the better of me a lot more often lately.
Monday: I’m doing a little work in the morning, but then doing a barbecue at my stepbrother’s house. Trying to focus on enjoying the day with my family.
Tuesday: We are going to stay home for the 4th but I will still probably grill a few…[Read more]

Yikes. That kinda sucks (the being forced to take off work). Sorry you have to deal with that, but I have complete faith that you will work around it and excel. That’s just sorta how you are built, Robin!
Let us know if you need any support (even if just to rant about stuff), and you know I’ll be checking on you during “mid-week sweep”! <3

Oh, Maria, what cuties! You must be so proud of them.
This morning I awakened to do my usual morning routine of watering my garden bed and found…blossom end rot on one of my tomatoes! So naturally I freaked out. I’m not sure why I am using this dang garden as a litmus test of my worth as a human being, but I need to stop that. Stat.

I really enjoyed the responses from yesterday’s challenge, guys! It was fun learning a bit about the music you love.
Today’s challenge is to call or email a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while.
There was a question about whether or not you should do the prompts in order. My answer depends on if you care about the accountability prize. If…[Read more]

This week will be interesting. My husband’s job is so poorly run and has cost corporate so much money that instead of just the regular Monday/Tuesday holiday for the 4th, they’re closing down for the whole week. The only option is to take vacation days or unpaid days off. So, he’ll be home all week. Which will make getting my steps in difficult.…[Read more]

ME!!!!!
Susan & Nikki did cover all the major points; however, you might want to bring a carry on or check a bag for the samples!!! I almost didn’t make the weight limit coming home last year
I forget what the “theme” was last year, but I dressed as a harried Girl Scout day camp leader (maybe it was the scout books & bag & mess kit & water…[Read more]
