Today will be a “catch up day” for me. Laundry, picking up house, working on my self-assessment. Although the 5k training plan states that if “you are new to training today could be a rest day for x-training”, I did ride 20 minutes on my recumbent bike (yay me!!).

I’m not doing a formal 5k. I’m just going to map out a route and walk it! The details about how to do the 5k are forthcoming but you don’t have to sign up for a formal 5k if you don’t want to. But if that’s fun for you, you definitely should!
I was thinking there’s a few of us close enough to meet up maybe? I dunno…whaddya think? 😉

Back to school, back to reality. Sigh.
If you are following the 5k plan today is a cross train day. That means you do some other form of excercise besides walking! Our plan says 20-30 minutes.

I had a good day! I got my walking done. Everything I ate was sooo yummy too.
For breakfast I had an omelet with spinach, tomatoes and onions.
For lunch I had a PB&J quesadilla on half a high fiber tortilla.
For snack I had a lunch meat roll up.
And for dinner I had Cajun sausage and peppers.

It looks like a busy day today. Working about 4 hours and then cooking and tidying the house for a Labor Day family birthday cookout this afternoon.

Happy Labor Day!
Today is laundry day for me. Plus “flip the mattress over” day since my husband is off and can help me out.
So, laundry and what I can get done in our home office to start cleaning it out.

This is going to be an odd week. I’m getting a new knee on Thursday and I’ll be in the hospital until Saturday or Sunday. I know from when I got the first knee done in June that they have healthy food choices available. I’ll bring protein shakes and protein bars along with me and I’ll be great for eating well.

That last paragraph…that’s the crux of everything. There is no such thing as a perfectly executed plan. Something always happens that we don’t anticipate. It’s how we respond to those situations that makes or breaks our end-goal.
I think you’ve got a pretty good attitude about it all.
