Actually my nutritionist appointment is tomorrow afternoon, but will keep you posted. I’ve been able to make some time for me, but not nearly enough. As far as my meals, well I planned BUT didn’t totally follow everything. It got warm this week and the warm oatmeal and soup didn’t seem quite as appetizing, unfortunately giving into not so good…[Read more]

Working on it. I got up early today and was showered and dressed before hubby was up. Left the house right after he did. Now I’m trying to finish up sorting all those books. And laundry. I wish the temperatures would at least get out of the mid to upper 90’s. The amount of laundry I’d have to do would drop significantly. Supposedly mid week next…[Read more]

Yup, sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and ask for help. Not a thing wrong with that and something I should do more.
Still working on the house. Sometimes I think that I will be working on cleaning out the house forever!
Breakfast was a Quest bar
Lunch will be turkey and veggie tots
Dinner will be leftovers.

<p style=”text-align: left;”>I woke up very tired this morning. I’m on day 4 of a major headache (we had to front come thru) that I just can’t seem to shake. However, I am getting some things done. I bought a 4 pound tub of peanut butter and on Monday and by mid afternoon (I’m taking a lunch break) the entire tub will have been made into protein…[Read more]

I woke up this morning, as my husband said, totally frazzled. I can’t seem to maintain a thought in my head. However, I did get my “monthly maintenance” things done. (ran dishwasher cleaner through the dishwasher, disposal cleaner through the disposal, washing machine cleaner thru the washer and cleaned the filters on the washer and dryer…[Read more]

Life seems to have gotten really hectic since I have a set afternoon schedule everyday. Yesterday was such a sad day between the Las Vegas incident and the death of a wonderful musician. Also, a personal situation has been laying heavy on me which only exacerbates my stress level. My mother-in-law has had an abdominal aneurysm for many years now…[Read more]

Happy Monday! (if there can be such a thing)
Today I’m catching up on all the things I didn’t do this past weekend and should’ve.
My grocery shopping is done. Found out that the the entire chain of stores is out of the only coffee my husband drinks. And it’s their store brand! My store has been sending frantic emails to corporate but corporate…[Read more]

Ok, just went through the protein guide and here are a few of my suggested edits:
- Page 11 section “Complete vs. Incomplete Proteins” 1st sentence – delete space before the word “Remember”.
- Page 18 under “Advantages” 3rd bullet down after “hungry” word should be “OR” not “OF”
- Page 20 1st bullet a period is needed at the end of the sentence

Just reread my post. Didn’t do so well. I got to bed by 2 a couple of nights, but didn’t fall asleep until 4 am this morning. Tonight is the night I need to go to bed early, so I’m not sure how well that’s going to go.
i managed more fluids almost every day, but only reached 60 on 2 days.
I didn’t get much done in the house. One of my c…[Read more]

I’m just checking in. I have no idea what today will bring and have no plans other than I told my husband that we have to get out of the house and do something to relax. No talking about his job or the house. For a minimum of 60 minutes. I’m sitting in the living room, sipping on a cup of coffee in the quiet. Hubby’s still asleep. The dog is…[Read more]

I’m going to continue to clean out my house this week. I’ve already contacted local charities to see what of this stuff they’ll take. My local library is going to be thrilled!
Getting my steps and liquids in. Both of these have been a major effort for me lately.
Planning meals ahead of time as much as possible. Especially breakfast and lunch.…[Read more]

Up early this morning to haul a truck load of stuff to the bulk trash collection day. We got there early and sat in the cool and quiet and watched a beautiful sunrise. As soon as hubby gets his shower, we’ll be off to pick up paint and flooring samples for the house.
Food wise, I don’t really have a clue yet. Probably a scrambled egg with turkey…[Read more]

WOOHOO! Today I will finally be through with sorting out all of those cookbooks in my home office. (my mom collected cookbooks and I ended up with most of them after she died.) I have three more shelves to go through and I’ll be done! I’m keeping three boxes of books total (not all cookbooks) and will be donating 10+boxes. I’ll also be done with…[Read more]
