Do you have anything you’d classify as “unfinished business”? Stuff that you haven’t resolved, but you need or want to?
If so, write about that today. What is your unfinished business? Why do you think it’s unfinished? And what do you think it will take to resolve it?

Hard as in “this doesn’t apply to me” or hard as in, “this was stuff I don’t like talking about”?
Just curious.

Hello, citizens of the Foodie Nation Community!
Right now I have three main priorities as the leader of this community:
Find out what is working well for you and do more of it.
Find out what isn’t working so well and nix it so we can do more of what works well.
And, eventually, I want to tidy the place up so that we can open it up to ot…[Read more] -

I haven’t ridden a bike outside in years. Our city now has bike rental stations all over the downtown area and I’ve been dying to do it but…I’m sorta like you. A little bit nervous!
Anyway…my balance did suffer a bit. I did a little bit of yoga in the beginning and that seemed to help me.

Ok I hope she doesn’t cuss me out for this but I feel like @kspot42 needs to be in this thread too. She has been coping with some stuff that I will let her share if she chooses to!
Kathy, I think you’ve stumbled onto some important stuff here. But one thing I wanted to pluck out that you said is important. You mentioned working on yourself for…[Read more]

Todays prompt is the direct opposite of yesterday’s. Whereas yesterday you wrote about something you believe about yourself that you know probably isn’t true, today you’re going to write about something that IS true that you have a hard time believing or embracing.
I’ll tell you up-front what mine is. Even though I know I’m a good mom I struggle…[Read more]

Today has been the most boring day ever. But I guess that’s what I needed.
Eats so far:
Breakfast sandwich
Protein barNot sure what else is on deck. I am going to try to swing by the lake on my way home for at least one lap (1.25 miles). I’m wearing a dress/panty hose so I don’t think it’s prudent to do more than that. #chaffing

In this same trip I was also stuck in the back of a truck with a puking child for a 1.5 hour drive down the mountain. Fun times.
In the child’s defense, he’d only ridden in a vehicle a handful of times and his little stomach just wasn’t ready.

I was actually worried about that (and throwing folks off with the days).
I post at night because some folks are early morning journalers and…much as I love you all…I’m not waking up at 4 a.m. to post the prompt! So I usually do it right before I go to bed.

Hmmmm…that seems to me like a pretty compelling reason NOT to read the prompt at night! But I hear ya. I was actually worried about that (and throwing folks off with the days).

@susan you were right. I never almost got arrested for indecent exposure lol.
@sarahlareina, I was in fact nearly chased down by an angry bull in the northeast mountains of Haiti. Granted, so was the rest of the camera crew I was with lol. The bull did not like any of us.

The day 8 prompt seemed like it was pretty easy to most folks. Just a note that I didn’t pick these with the specific intention of being difficult, so it’s ok if you don’t have much to say on a subject or your entries aren’t very long. But I do have a challenge. If it seems like you finish quickly, reread what you wrote and ask yourself, “am I…[Read more]

I understand completely. And to me it’s not like a death in the family. It is a death in your family and you have to grieve! I’m so glad you’re giving yourself the time and space to do that.
I didn’t want to push too hard to get you to post but I was thinking of you. Thank you for checking in. I was gonna give it a few more days then email you!

I dunno if this will become a “thing” here on the FNC, but I figure when I have something to say, I’ll say it!
So here’s what I have to say today.
As I was doing my journaling (both for our challenge and in general), I stumbled onto a realization.
It started with what I call “wet shirt syndrome.”
Ever since my mastectomy, I frequently get wet…[Read more]

How long/short your journal entries are is up to you! The prompts are just meant to get you thinking about a particular subject but I think there will be some prompts that will elicit longer responses, and some shorter responses. I would recommend, though, that you leave some blank space after ones that are super-short just in case you have a…[Read more]
