I like that your goal is to search out, but then your actual goal to make something is related to one recipe! I was thinking as I read “she’s going to try ALL those new recipes in a week?” Nope! Because you’re savvy, you are taking a step by step approach. Love it!
Be sure to post any good recipes you find in the recipe swap forum!

Woot! I’ll be checking in with you in a few days to see how it’s going but I know you can do it!

Those last two I really want you to concentrate on!
Let me know how the “water for coffee” thing works out for you. I can tell you my first two attempts at it didn’t go so great but the third time must be a charm because I’ve been sticking to it (even did at OAC).

Woot! You can do it.
Question: Have you worked out what you’ll be eating this week? Carbs can be sneaky suckers, so planning ahead is essential to limiting your carbs.
Let me know if you need any help!

I’m feeling completely exhausted today and am having trouble getting anything accomplished. Steps are getting done little by little and so are my liquids. I think that I’m going to lay down for a hour.
Breakfast – breakfast chili
Lunch – stuffed avocado
Dinner – chili dog with no bun (different chili than at breakfast)

Great plan! Did you ever find out if that worksheet is available anywhere? I’d love to post it in here. If not, I can definitely search for it. 🙂

This is a great question @Maria_A! A 5k is a run/walk with a distance of 5 kilometers. A Virtual 5k (also sometimes called a Virtual Run) is one that is bailed online and can be accomplished anywhere. Some people do them on treadmills, some find a trail or path, and some people just go around the block. Usually some kind of fitness…[Read more]

It was a busy day today with several errands.
I have gotten 92 grams of protein and went to the Y. I’m happy.

Today’s meals
Breakfast – 1/2 Udi’s everything bagel, 1 egg
Lunch – Italian Tuna & White bean salad
Dinner – Italian hot turkey sausage burger, wilted spinach
Doing pretty good with slower eating, small bites & chewing, AND avoiding dairy and wheat (yesterday too).
I need to stop punishing myself by grieving over the foods I can’t have and…[Read more]

Today is busy for me. Grocery shopping and then prepping some breakfasts and lunches for the week. Laundry (because I didn’t get it done yesterday due to cuddling my 4 month old grandson) and trying to make a dent in cleaning out my bedroom. Steps and liquids will find a place in there somewhere!
Breakfast – Click protein coffee
Lunch – Stuffed…[Read more]

I am going to repeat last week’s goal of getting at least 90 grams of protein every day. It really helped me stay on track last week.

I was a little below 90 on 1 day, but my average for the week was 92 so I’m calling it a win!
I did forget to check in during the week. So, I need to step that up this week.

This week’s goal will focus on menu planning and recipes. I find myself in a bit of a “rut” and am going to research some new recipes
1 new breakfast idea
1 new lunch idea
2 new dinner recipes
2 new snack ideas
I will try at least 1 of the above this week (if I have ingredients for more, I will try more)

This morning I planned meals for the week and went grocery shopping already.
Breakfast/Lunch – Lactaid cottage cheese with tomato, garlic powder, basil (I love cottage cheese and Breakstone’s live active cottage cheese is the only one I will eat, this was a big step for me–thus the reason for doctoring it up in order to make it more…[Read more]

Well, I have been dodging the inevitable and it’s time for me to get serious about what food goes into my mouth. My primary doctor has been after me to avoid/eliminate both dairy and wheat from my diet because I keep having digestive issues. I do good for a few days, but being a glutton for punishment, I end up having these foods again and my…[Read more]

I have no idea what today is going to bring! I’m hoping to get to the grocery store today because I’d really like some salmon for dinner, but I don’t know if that will happen. We’re keeping one of the grandsons this afternoon and evening. Not the “never slow down” two year old but little four month old Jackson! We have plans to go look at new…[Read more]

I can’t say if the starchy veggies worked out or not. I don’t know if it was stress or a stomach bug, but my digestion has gone back into an uproar. However, it did start on the day I ate butternut squash! Anyway, I went back to very carefully choosing my foods and as of yesterday, things seem back to normal. My…[Read more]
