I’m so glad you’re taking a proactive stance on the “scale surprise.” It’s easy and understandable to get down about that sort of stuff. But I love that you are instead taking action!
So you’re going to a conference, eh? Question: How many conference meals do you think you’ll be having? (Conference meals = meals provided directly by the…[Read more]

Today is haircut and color day!!! YAY!!! I go with my former next-door neighbor and then we go to lunch!!! We always have a great time and it is so much fun to catch up!! I also have to take my dachshund to the vet for a laser treatment on her back this afternoon. I plan to do my 15 minutes of walking this evening — weather is perfect her…[Read more]

Basically a repeat of yesterday. Walking, liquids, cleaning out the house.
Update on my husband’s job situation – on Monday, he sent an application to another company that’s within the same company (if that makes sense). Basically does the same thing at a different location, but makes money instead of losing it. Then, yesterday morning, they…[Read more]

Rain, rain go away…
Anyhoo…Happy Wednesday! If you’re following the 5k Training Plan, today we walk another 15 minutes. As I said, if that’s less than what you were doing before, add 15 minutes to whatever you do and go from there!
I was going to walk at the lake this evening but it’s supposed to be raining so I think I’ll hop over to the Y…[Read more]

True fact: recipes cannot be copyrighted. So it’s not illegal to share a recipe you got from a book with someone else. Good form would be to share the recipe along with book information (title, author, and probably a link to the book). The one caveat is that you should never post a photocopy of a recipe book. If you share a recipe, you’d need to…[Read more]

Today I did laundry and then made my granddaughter a T-Shirt for her to wear to the football games to go with the marching band. (her daddy is one of the high school band directors) I then started going through a large tub of pictures and separating and labeling them for my two boys. A huge undertaking but my goal is to try and have it fi…[Read more]

Does the author or the book have a website or Facebook page that they have publicly shared the recipe before? If you could find a link to it that would be awesome! other wise I bet @nikki-massie could chime in.

UPDATE, UPDATE!!
I just wanted to pass along that I did make the turkey and cannellini bean casserole tonight and I think I’m in LOVE!!! It reminded me of having a bowl of pasta with sausage, without the pasta!!! I’m not sure if I would be violating any copyright laws if I were to share the recipe with everyone (the recipe is from a book I…[Read more]

I’m a materials engineer/chemist/technical resource for rubber mixing for two cable plants – 1 I sit in and one in PA.
I try to take lunch and leave the premises. Eating in the office is healthier food-wise, but not mentally. I need to leave, and escape. Must happen.
I like the idea of hugging a tree, lol. But they already think I’m bat-crap…[Read more]
