It’s 1:20 AM and I’m up showered and mostly dressed. I couldn’t sleep so today will be very long! I stopped for a moment for coffee (definitely wishing that I drank caffeine) and my vitamins and supplements. Heading out to Killeen at 2. Breakfast (is it breakfast at 2 AM?) will most likely be a RTD shake in the car. Breakfast #2 will be at the…[Read more]

Today will be interesting. We’re all on pins and needles waiting for our daughter in law to go into labor. The OB says that the baby seems to be in a hurry but mom’s body isn’t. Hoping that it happens today. If not, we’ll have to be at the hospital at around 1 AM in the morning. What kind of Dr schedules labor inductions at 1 AM? Anyway, I’ve had…[Read more]

I cook for one and don’t mind eating the same thing every day for 4-5 days, as long as it tastes really good! I’ve always been a picky eater and now I care even more how I “spend” my calories.
Plus, I’m not as busy as you are!

This week will be crazy for so many reasons! Today I have physical therapy in Temple and will be calling my son before heading home. Hopefully, we’ll see some action on the baby front. If not, I’ll be heading home for grocery shopping. I want to try to get lunches made up for the week so that I don’t have to figure out what to eat when I’m already…[Read more]

<p style=”text-align: left;”>I’m to the point that I pretty much don’t even feel the ACV going down anymore. It’s just part of my morning. I still haven’t seen or felt any changes from it.</p>

Creamy Bacon Egg Skillet for breakfasts, crab cakes and salad for lunches, grilled chicken with sun dried tomato basil cream sauce for dinners. Trying a new fun treat for snacks – probiotic cottage cheese! The strawberry chia flavor is surprisingly good.
Exercise – workout with trainer Monday, one strength workout on my own plus walk 30+ m…[Read more]

Today is a catch up on rest day for me. I have physical therapy twice this week plus baby Jackson will be here by Wednesday at the latest. So far, the day has been extremely hectic, but is settling down for a few hours at least. A RTD shake on the way to church this morning and a homemade one for lunch as well cuz I needed to get some meds down…[Read more]

I’m an INTP – “the logician”, which apparently is common in 3% of the population. So pretty close to you, Cyndie!
One of the characteristics of this personality seeing patterns in pretty much everything, and this definitely applies to my WL journey. I consistently look for patterns in weight loss and weight maintenance – things like nutrition m…[Read more]

Knowing what caused them and getting it under control was the easy part. Now I’m battling the mind games that are making me crave EVERYTHING carbs. But I have decided that this is a battle I can’t lose. It helped last night when my son told me that 21 month old Gabriel took after me. When I asked in what way. He said that Gabe has my iron will. I…[Read more]

I’m barely even getting a “glow” as the ACV goes down and I’m starting to actually enjoy the taste. But then, salt and vinegar potato chips were a favorite back in my pre-op days.

This week will be interesting. Grandson #2 will be here by Wednesday at the latest. So, a lot of driving to Killeen. Two days of physical therapy in Temple plus my bariatric support group. Luckily, the support group meets 15 minutes after I finish my 2nd PT and is less than 5 minutes away. I may combine the trips to Temple with the trips to…[Read more]

I think that today is going to be a strange day. I’ve had a breakfast of yogurt and a veggie sausage (finally getting all of them eaten) and am about to down my ACV. Then outside to help my husband transplant two ebony crate myrtle bushes to the backyard and replace them with rosebushes. We have to keep a close eye on the time as our son has asked…[Read more]
