Unfortunately, no “aha” moments. Mainly trying to stop and see if I’m really hungry, thirsty or wanting to eat out of stress. I’m definitely still doing too much stress eating.

It’s just now hit me that today ends this challenge. I was sitting here trying to decide what my next pledge was going to be. 😕

I’m here! Been super busy with work and life but doing well!

  • It’s been a busy day for me, also. We’ve been looking at flooring for the house all day. I’m battling a vicious headache.

Breakfast was sausage and lentil soup and some Greek yogurt

Lunch was a Quest bar in the car

Dinner will be turkey breast and some kale salad

Snacks will probably be shakes or bars

  • Happy, happy birthday! 🎂🎈🎁

  • I thought that I was late checking in today, but I guess not!

I got all my steps in and most of my liquids in before lunch. Lunch was out with my sister and oldest grandson. Today’s a stressful one. It’s the deadline for turning in the “Voluntary Separation” forms at my husband’s work. We’ve chosen not to volunteer. I imagine we’ll find out soon…[Read more]

It’s supposed to rain here in central Texas but so far the sun’s still shining. I hope it will get here soon!

I also remember my children starting college. My oldest started Baylor the same week my husband started a new job. In Albuquerque. I was trying to get our house up for sale and get the two younger kids back to school. Not my favorite…[Read more]

I started my day with a dental appointment and am now killing time at the grocery store until it’s time to pick up my husband’s prescription. I’m sitting in the former food court area drinking a free cup of decaf coffee.

Breakfast – none yet unless this coffee counts

Lunch will be the roasted turkey breast and olive spread I didn’t have…[Read more]

    LOL – borrow away!!

  • Yep, I definitely make lists to categorize them and am using those to guide my time; i.e., spending my time primarily on those items I control. I’m not sure where I came up with this idea, but I’m putting things in 3 buckets: What I control, what I can influence, and what I just need to be aware of/watch progress.

    <hr />

Stress is definitely starting to take a toll on both my husband and me. Neither of us are sleeping well and our eating is becoming more of an issue. He’s eating too much and I’m not wanting to eat because everything makes me queasy. Even my favorite foods.

Working on steps (I’m having a lot of pain in my hip so this is slow) and my…[Read more]

  • My day started early with the dog deciding we needed to get up NOW!

I got my shopping done including the roasted turkey breast for lunches from the grocery store.

Steps are done (and no, Nikki, not on the treadmill) I have 12 ounces to go before hitting my 80 ounce goal

Breakfast was sausage and lentil soup

Lunch was some of the turkey and…[Read more]

  • Breakfast: scrambled egg whites with baked bacon
    Lunch: Low carb pizza bites
Dinner: crockpot pork tenderloin and salad
Snacks: protein bars, blueberries, lemon-sour cream pudding

Exercise: Walk ~30 miles, strength training 2-3x

I’m also trying to focus on managing my work stress by categorizing what I control v. influence, and I have a massage…[Read more]

  • My husband and I are working on a plan to get done all that we need to do. About to head out to look for a couple of good sized bushes to replace our small rose bushes on the front of the house. (can you say “curb appeal”?). Hubby’s going to work on his resume tonight.

Breakfast was very late (more like lunch time) and was sausage and lentil…[Read more]

  • My pledge this week is to concentrate on mindful eating. To stop and think about whether I’m really hungry or if it’s stress getting the best of me.

I’m definitely headed into a crazy season of my life! My focus has had to under go a radical change. Steps will have to very possibly take a distant second place to doing everything I can to finish…[Read more]

  • As I posted earlier this week, I did get my pledge of doing a high intensity workout done.

  • I had a bad night last night so I’m starting the day off tired. Luckily, everything I need to do today is relatively easy. Finishing cleaning everything off my kitchen counters so we can finish the back splash. A little bit of laundry that I would normally do tomorrow. A quick trip to the grocery store so we can eat this weekend. I have a roast…[Read more]

Today was a relatively good day. Ran some errands (had to get a mattress cover and pad for my grandson’s new bed. He’s being bumped up to a twin bed as his brother needs the crib). I got the kitchen mostly prepped to finish up the back splash in our kitchen this weekend. Got my steps and liquids all in.

    Breakfast – protein shake

    Lunch – hotdog…[Read more]

  • Oh, and to add to that, I did get my high intensity workout done yesterday. I also got a lecture from my son about spending an hour and a half on the treadmill doing it. Told me it would be overdoing it for him to do that workout for that long. I’m happy to say that I am not anywhere near as sore as I was afraid I would be!

  • Yes! My cookbooks came and I have been using them! (l made Butterfinger protein ice-cream for my husband as a surprise for after dinner tonight. I can’t ever make that shake without doubling it or I barely get any!)

I have eaten healthy all week although I have been eating more than I should be.
