Oh, they don’t wake me up. I almost always wake up in the middle of the night. However, now I think about the prompt instead of stressing that, once again, I’m not sleeping.

What are the top 2 things you love about yourself today?
Today i I love that I have a knowledge of when I’m headed off the deep end and can pull myself back to a point.
I love that I have compassion for others.

Do you know that I read these prompts right before I go to bed and usually wake up during the night thinking about them?

I agree with Nikki. You did lose a member of the family. I glad you are taking care of yourself. A mini vacation sounds wonderful!

Positive self talk is the theme of the day! Walking, PT exercises have been started. Chicken Ceasar salad for dinner, beef Deli meat rolled up around a Sriracha cheese stick for lunch and banana pancakes for breakfast. Wow! I actually have all three meals planned! Oh, and a chocolate almond protein shake before bed to keep the stomach growlies…[Read more]

Oops! I have to correct myself. My appointment with the surgeon isn’t this week. It’s the week after this.

Apparently not aware enough! It took this prompt for me to realize something about myself (that I do to myself) that I just don’t understand. Anyway, I’m done. Not really comfortable with it, (which just might have been the point) but I’m done.

First thing is to quit sabotaging myself! Plan breakfasts and lunches. Quit being so dependent on shakes and bars. I have two doctor appointments this week. My every six months eye appointment and the appointment with the surgeon about my shoulder. That one will be interesting. Getting all of my walking in along with my PT exercises. Staying…[Read more]

My day is not going as planned. That’s not to say that it’s going badly, though. I’m getting a lot of things done around the house as well as having done some prep cooking for next week. (Thank you, Nikki for today’s journal promt that made me stop and really THINK). I’ve not had anything to eat yet, which isn’t good as it’s noon thirty. But I…[Read more]

I’m sitting on the couch, freezing! It’s not supposed to be this cold here in May! However, it’s supposed to be in the mid 80s later today. Nothing to eat yet. Food didn’t sit well last night and things are still a little iffy. Lots to catch up with around the house, we’re having a grand baby invasion tomorrow. My son and his family are coming as…[Read more]

Vitamins in, premier protein bar for breakfast. 36/80 ounces of liquids in so far. About half my steps in. I still need to do my PT exercises. ACV for the morning done. I’m about to head to the grocery store and pick up what we need for the weekend and start of next week. It’s sunny and cool out this morning. Highly unusual for this time of year…[Read more]

All done! This one was easy! My husband and I have talked about it for years. It involved him being fired for not being willing to lie on an accident report. We ended up with a much better job and finally not having to live literally from paycheck to paycheck and praying that nothing would happen that we couldn’t pay for.
