  • This is a great question @Maria_A! A 5k  is a run/walk with a distance of 5 kilometers. A Virtual 5k (also sometimes called a Virtual Run) is one that is bailed online and can be accomplished anywhere. Some people do them on treadmills, some find a trail or path, and some people just go around the block. Usually some kind of fitness…[Read more]

It was a busy day today with several errands.

I have gotten 92 grams of protein  and went to the Y. I’m happy.

    Today’s meals

    Breakfast – 1/2 Udi’s everything bagel, 1 egg

Lunch – Italian Tuna & White bean salad

Dinner – Italian hot turkey sausage burger, wilted spinach

Doing pretty good with slower eating, small bites & chewing, AND avoiding dairy and wheat (yesterday too).

I need to stop punishing myself by grieving over the foods I can’t have and…[Read more]

  • Today is busy for me. Grocery shopping and then prepping some breakfasts and lunches for the week. Laundry (because I didn’t get it done yesterday due to cuddling my 4 month old grandson) and trying to make a dent in cleaning out my bedroom. Steps and liquids will find a place in there somewhere!

    Breakfast – Click protein coffee

    Lunch – Stuffed…[Read more]

    1. Follow the “you screwed up” forgive and be curious worksheet with all my heart
    2. visit the foodie nation 2 times a day. Once at 8:00am and once at 10:00 pm.
    3. Walk! Take my children and my dogs for a walk 3 times this week. The days and times will very so I will post in daily with my plan for the day.
  • Took the walk, met the water, logged, hit the grocery store,

kind of scary how this planning works? Lol

  • continue to log food

“buy” caffeine with 16 oz water for 8 oz caffeine

    walk outdoors 1 time

    bring lunch 1 day

hit at least 64 oz water, try to increase to 70.

    have a good week.

    be gentle with me.

  •  I am going to repeat last week’s goal of getting at least 90 grams of protein every day. It really helped me stay on  track last week.

    SueO

  • I was a little below 90 on 1 day, but my average for the week was 92 so I’m  calling it a win!

I did forget to check in during the week. So, I need to step that up this week.

  • This week’s goal will focus on menu planning and recipes.  I find myself in a bit of a “rut” and am going to research some new recipes

    1 new breakfast idea

    1 new lunch idea

    2 new dinner recipes

    2 new snack ideas

I will try at least 1 of the above this week (if I have ingredients for more, I will try more)

  • goal for this week completed

    Mon – cardio/gym  tues gym/cardio+weights   Wed – pilates    thurs – gym/cardio  fri – pilates

    Sat – gym/cardio+weights    Sun – zumba + pilates

met 10000 + steps 5/7 days this week

This morning I planned meals for the week and went grocery shopping already.

Breakfast/Lunch – Lactaid cottage cheese with tomato, garlic powder, basil (I love cottage cheese and Breakstone’s live active cottage cheese is the only one I will eat, this was a big step for me–thus the reason for doctoring it up in order to make it more…[Read more]

  • Well, I have been dodging the inevitable and it’s time for me to get serious about what food goes into my mouth. My primary doctor has been after me to avoid/eliminate both dairy and wheat from my diet because I keep having digestive issues. I do good for a few days, but being a glutton for punishment, I end up having these foods again and my…[Read more]

  • My goal for this week is to get my fluid intake EVERYDAY!!! A minimum of 48 oz but really would like to get 64 oz daily. Still on vacation so this is a challenge for me!!!

  • I have totally shocked myself!!’ I have achieved 2 of the goals I set for myself everyday this week!!!! Amazing since I am on vacation.  I need to work more on fluid intake!!! I did make fluid intake 4 out of 7 days!!!

  • I have no idea what today is going to bring! I’m hoping to get to the grocery store today because I’d really like some salmon for dinner, but I don’t know if that will happen. We’re keeping one of the grandsons this afternoon and evening. Not the “never slow down” two year old but little four month old Jackson! We have plans to go look at new…[Read more]

  • Mini- pledge check-in week 2

I can’t say if the starchy veggies worked out or not. I don’t know if it was stress or a stomach bug, but my digestion has gone back into an uproar. However, it did start on the day I ate butternut squash! Anyway, I went back to very carefully choosing my foods and as of yesterday, things seem back to normal. My…[Read more]

  • I’m going to shift gears with my pledge this week and instead of food, I’m going to work on my fitness plan. I am going to add some high intensity training to my work out. While I’d love to say that I’m going to do this three times this week, I know myself (and my life) well enough to say that I’m hoping to do this once this week. Any more than…[Read more]

  • Okay, call me ignorant, but what exactly is a virtual 5k? In fact, what is a 5k at all? I have never done this before and am interested in in finding what is involved, especially with just having my knee replaced.

I also posted this question in the open discussion forum.

    Thanks.

Not sure this is the right forum to post this, so I am also posting in the ask a question get an answer forum.

    Thanks.
