I’m a little behind on my protein and my water so far today.  I’ll have to step out up.

My kids lived at home for college so I  didn’t have the moving out moment quite as soon.  But it does make an impact,  and when the last one moves out is an even bigger impact.

It’s supposed to rain here in central Texas but so far the sun’s still shining. I hope it will get here soon!

I also remember my children starting college. My oldest started Baylor the same week my husband started a new job. In Albuquerque. I was trying to get our house up for sale and get the two younger kids back to school. Not my favorite…[Read more]

I so remember the days my boys left for college like it was yesterday even though it was 14 years ago for my baby.  Life did change forever then but I love my life now!!!  I still miss those days when they were home but I love the grand babies that they have given me so that definitely helps!!! 🙂

Today I plan to start walking.  The plan is to go…[Read more]

Good morning! I’m stumbling out of bed and my last dream was odd, it was what I wanted to eat today.

I have a major craving for cereal. I was told we can have Go Lean Crunch, so there we go. Anyone have other cereals they can have? I do cream of wheat very sparingly, but not sure what else with carbs and starch.

    Lunch I’m making a batch of…[Read more]

  • Truthfully, I keep hearing from another patient where I had my RNY that I need to be tracking my macro/ micro-nutrients & im bloody confused by it all.

So, at some point in September I will be signing onto Good Measures also.

    • Sounds very interesting! I will be looking forward to it!

Busy day finishing up my packing, etc. Already took my “baby” for boarding 😞. Later today I will be picking my mother-in-law up, then pick my husband up, stop home quick to load the car, and then drive to Hartford, CT to spend the night (1+ hours away) as our flight leaves early tomorrow morning.

So far today I’ve had scrambled eggs for…[Read more]

I started my day with a dental appointment and am now killing time at the grocery store until it’s time to pick up my husband’s prescription. I’m sitting in the former food court area drinking a free cup of decaf coffee.

Breakfast – none yet unless this coffee counts

Lunch will be the roasted turkey breast and olive spread I didn’t have…[Read more]

Hi!  Just got back from my trip to Delaware and I’m trying to get back into my routine!  Exhaustion does not help!  My eating was not great so I need to get that back under control, but I was much more active than normal so that’s good!

    @liz-kelly check in!

I have finally sat down and read my messages and realized I was combining Weekly Plan and Check-In into one post.  My brain was just not working or more likely I was just not paying attention like I should.

Today is a low key day for me which is a welcome blessing!!!  I need a somewhat unscheduled day!!

    Food today:

    Breakfast: Shake  Lunch: Co…[Read more]

    Okay three things, none good.

    1) Totally failed at eating and drinking enough yesterday. I skipped meals like you wouldn’t believe. Like I used to that got me into this mess when I did eat to make up for it.

    2) I got a major migraine and didn’t go to happy hour yet again. I NEED TO GO AND MEET PEOPLE GOSH DARN IT.

    3) I had to leave a Facebook…[Read more]

  • Thanks Nikki!!! This has been a crazy busy week and a few unexpected things thrown in the mix!!!  Luckily, I have been able to keep my focus and especially around food!!!  Thank you for your clarification.  I went back and looked at everything and realized I was combining the “check-in” posts and the “weekly plan” posts.  I do need to continue to…[Read more]

A good day, met both my goals.

And somehow managed to eat exactly 1000 calories according to MFP! How crazy is that?

Good afternoon sunshines! I’m fessing up to a margarita last night, which of course led to a minor problem at work this morning (thank goodness I was wearing black pants, live close to the office and can work from home, just saying).

Challenge for me tonight, another confession, I don’t have friends I can hang out with much. Kids, married all…[Read more]

  • Yep, I definitely make lists to categorize them and am using those to guide my time; i.e., spending my time primarily on those items I control. I’m not sure where I came up with this idea, but I’m putting things in 3 buckets: What I control, what I can influence, and what I just need to be aware of/watch progress.
