  • First week of September in the BOOKS!

Our 5k plan says we rest today so…we rest!

I have a super busy day and if my body follows its regular cycle (monthly) I should be experiencing very painful cramps and nausea all day. Nausea already on deck. Waiting for cramps to show up for the party. Thank goodness Extra Strength Tylenol does seem to…[Read more]

  • I got my 15 minutes of walking in…just in five minute spurts! (I purposely walked to places I would have driven to on the way home…cuz the rain threw me off, man!)

    Nightly check in.

LONG DAY! Launch season is gonna be crazy! Super fun but crazy!

    Breakfast- shake
    Lunch- Tacos
    Dinner… oops…

  • If others are into it and someone else besides Nikki coordinates it (because, much as I love you all, it’s Pledge planning time and I don’t have time to coordinate) go for it!

Try posting this in the FB group as well to get feedback. 🙂

  • I know I have lots of crazy ideas, but this one popped up after asking @kspot42 for a favor…  This is where I get in trouble, I get all the ideas but following thru is another matter…….

What are the thoughts on a FNC Secret Santa?  Just a temporary little thing to be nice to each other….

a limit of no more than $10-20, USPS tracking n…[Read more]

  • Ok so I will recognize first and foremost that I am stepping out of bounds of what is my business here to ask but…

Why does your MIL have so much control over what happens in your house?

  • That. Right there. Is how you can tell you are not making excuses. You are adjusting your plan to fit your reality.

    Now make it so! 😉

@nikki-massie The cleaning lady stresses me out because my Mother-in-law stresses out when she comes. She is a “friend” that she pays under the table to come and vacuum and clean the toilet once a week. She is supposed to be doing a lot more but she doesn’t. There is a joke that goes around about how she doesn’t look up if she can’t see it at eye…[Read more]

It’s a rainy, chilly day (mid-60’s) here in Upstate New York. My plan this morning was to get everything cut up for dinner and hit Planet Fitness to do the treadmill (when I got there I was going to ask a staff member how to use it). Well, I ended up standing way too long on my feet cutting up the veggies and chicken and maybe because of the…[Read more]

    today I have 2 goals

    1.not freak out at people.
    2. find some organization.

I am in a “people are dumb” mood mostly thanks to work. When you have to sift through 10,000 tweets and 9,900 of them are wrong wrong wrong and bigoted and hateful it takes a toll on my spirit. also, I am in a “why can’t people just be nice? is it really that hard?”…[Read more]

  • I’m so stoked you posted early! And your day sounds way funner(er) than mine. 😉

  • Robin how do you do with fruits and veggies? Whenever I find I’m too snacky (for whatever reason), baby carrots and veggie crudites become my best friends. I know you are supposed to deal with the reason you want to eat and yadda…but sometimes quite frankly I have to engage in what I call “defensive eating,” or, eating very filling foods that…[Read more]

  • I’m so glad you’re taking a proactive stance on the “scale surprise.” It’s easy and understandable to get down about that sort of stuff. But I love that you are instead taking action!

So you’re going to a conference, eh? Question: How many conference meals do you think you’ll be having? (Conference meals = meals provided directly by the…[Read more]

  • Rain, rain go away…

Anyhoo…Happy Wednesday! If you’re following the 5k Training Plan, today we walk another 15 minutes. As I said, if that’s less than what you were doing before, add 15 minutes to whatever you do and go from there!

I was going to walk at the lake this evening but it’s supposed to be raining so I think I’ll hop over to the Y…[Read more]

  • Aww, thanks.  Met my goals, and even washed dishes.  Today was a good day!

  • True fact: recipes cannot be copyrighted. So it’s not illegal to share a recipe you got from a book with someone else. Good form would be to share the recipe along with book information (title, author, and probably a link to the book). The one caveat is that you should never post a photocopy of a recipe book. If you share a recipe, you’d need to…[Read more]
