I forgot to mention that I had my 3 month check up with my primary doctor yesterday. He is very pleased with how I am doing and my blood test was great (not as extensive blood test like my bariatric doctor). In fact several years ago I had an A1C of 7.0 and was on diabetes medications. After my WLS in March 2016, I stopped taking them and my A1C…[Read more]

Ended up waking up at 2:00 a.m. today, tossed and turned until 4:00 a.m. because I couldn’t get comfortable because for some reason any which way I moved it hurt, felt nauseous and I was shivering like crazy. So at 4:00 a.m. I came downstairs and just for the heck of it, I took my temperature. Low and behold I had 100 degree temperature so this…[Read more]

  • I stepped on the scale this morning and suddenly remembered why I had taken starchy carbs out of my food plan. Because they make the scale take extremely large leaps in the wrong direction. At least I know that if I get a uncontrollable craving for carbs I can eat oatmeal and not have to suffer from gastric upset for days afterwards.

    So, today’s…[Read more]

I saw my neurologist today.  He said my brain and nerve tests were normal.  No definitive cause for my shaking so far.  I’m going off the ropinerole, which didn’t help the shaking and made me tired.  So hopefully that will help.

After my trip to NOLA, I’m supposed to go off the Paxil, in case that was causing my shaking.  A little bummed abou…[Read more]

Nikki! Thank you for sending the rain my way! It looks like we’re going to get a LOT of it today!

Today I will definitely be doing my walking inside. I’m behind at the moment as I wasn’t able to get to sleep until about an hour before I had to get up. So, I took a nap.

Now I’m up and going. Catching up on steps and liquids.

    Breakfast will be a…[Read more]

I was not able to get to the Y today.  I am not able to drive at the present time and hubby wasn’t  able to take me after all.

I have done all my at home therapy exercises for my knee.

  • It’s scary how there’s methods to your madness. I was one of the people asking if we were going to need to report DAILY, and looking forward to less reporting, and I’ve found that I, gasp, miss it. I started this week off funky being ill, missing support call, and then missing work yesterday (monday). So, hopefully by tomorrow I’ll be back on…[Read more]

Well last night I was too tired to make what I had planned for dinner, so regretfully I made a single serving pizza, but did eat it over 30 minutes.

I ended getting up later than I thought and didn’t do my best for planning breakfast. So I had a Premier protein fiber bar on my way to the Dr office. It did take me 20 minutes to eat. I went to…[Read more]

  • So far I’m doing OK – hit the water goal yesterday and today, went to the grocery store after I got off the couch/sickness late yesterday. Small steps!

  • Beth replied to the topic August 1 in the forum Daily Check-Ins 7 years, 3 months ago

Walked 13211 steps so far (not record breaking but not bad) and made decent food choices. I did “use” one of my “treats” by having a dinner roll and a bite (OK 3) of my husband’s dessert. Still happy with my choices today.

  • Thanks Nikki, missed you too!

  • I’m really late posting this. I have 2 things this week to be accountable for. One weight, one for me.

For weight, after the vitamin challenge I’m taking all my vitamins every day. And I’m taking the right amounts. I got my blood work back and aside from high B12 andA, everything looks good.

Personal- clean up my kitchen (and a room in the house…[Read more]

So far so good on adding oatmeal to my food plan. I’ve decided not to add more than one new thing a week. Steps and liquids. My husband and I had hoped to get away for a long weekend, but once again, there’s no room at the dog kennel for our Ginger.

Breakfast was an egg and a piece of baked protein oatmeal.

    Lunch – I really don’t have a clue at…[Read more]
