hmm, I kind of wish I hadn’t posted…
I had to be at work at 5 am on Wednesday. Monday I didn’t shop, and I don’t remember why. I think I worked late. Tuesday I had a business dinner. Wednesday I left work at 4:30, so that was over 11 hours. So I collapsed on the couch and caught up with TV. I had leftovers from the business dinner Tues for…[Read more]

Today is the beginning of a very long and hard two months. After a very long discussion last night, my husband and I came to the conclusion that there is no future (or security) at his work now. He’s applying for a transfer to the location 2+ hours away. Which means we’re moving. He would like us out of our house by Thanksgiving. So, lot’s to keep…[Read more]

Why is it that the smallest things can bring you much joy??? I’m a lover of flavored coffees and I use a Keurig at home. Do you know how hard it is to find k-cups with a variety of flavors in decaf??? I finally came across a site that had a big selection in decaf flavored coffees, BUT not in k-cups (ground bags). I took a chance to try some and…[Read more]

Okay, mid-week sweep. Pretty much going as planned. Planning and prepping breakfasts and lunches has really been beneficial. Being able to pack my lunches without any preparation everyday has made it less stressful and pretty much not straying to not so good food choices. My breakfasts, although tasty, don’t seem to be agreeing with my stomach. So…[Read more]

Today is my two year anniversary since adopting my kitties…my reason for living 😊. I don’t know what I’d do without them. Just wish they were a bit healthier.
Took Brinley to the vet this morning for another respiratory infection, and she said she might also have kitty herpes. So another shot, and a bill for $163. I’m going to try to get som…[Read more]

Well the time has come and the Band will be removed on Thursday Oct. 5th. After 10 years the band has slipped and is causing uncontrollable re flux. I am not scared about the actual surgery but about what will happen after with my weight. Granted I have not had any saline in the band for almost two years so not much restriction but without it…[Read more]

I know that drained feeling all too well! Be kind to yourself and don’t overdo!
We’re still in recovery mode from all the stress. My husband is still employed! However, I think that he will be trying to get a transfer to the main location (about 2.5 hours from here, so the cleaning out and prepping the house to sell continues.)
This morning, I’m…[Read more]

My plan this week is to do some home improvement work every day. Right now, that’s mostly removing wall paper. If it cools down, I’ll go outside and cut boards for my craft room closet.
My goal is to be in bed by 10:00 on Sunday. I have to take Scott for an endoscopy on Monday, and will need to be up at 5:30 am. Since I normally go to bed aroun…[Read more]

- Set a plan (done)
- Go to work early on Monday (done) and troubleshoot the issues. (done)
- Prioritize my work tasks and set reasonable expectations for completion. If they don’t all get done by the deadline (which is Friday for a bunch of them), be OK with it.
- Grocery shopping Monday night. Get more salads, snacks, and drinks for work…

Good Morning and happy Monday!
Today is a catch up day for me after having company since Thursday and a very busy weekend. Laundry and cleaning house is my plan for today. Getting my steps and push-ups in (planks are going to have to wait until I’m not quite so sore from being bent over in the back of a pickup tossing wood out the back.).
Meals…[Read more]

Still cleaning out the house. It’s finally looking like I’m making some progress!
Food wise, I’m still working out of the freezer It’s starting to look empty.
Exercise will be walking, of course, and working on my push-ups and planks. I’m not sure how well that will work out at the first part of the week as I’m already feeling a bit sore from…[Read more]

Busy day. First church and then home to fix a nice lunch before my daughter had to head home. Then over to the house of the guy who shares my husband’s office. He had his big oak trees trimmed and we went over to get the limbs as their fireplace isn’t a wood burning one and ours is. So, we loaded all of the wood into the back of the pickup and…[Read more]

1. 90 grams of protein a day. It’s boring, but I won’t do it it I don’t have it as a goal. I’m at that point in my recovery where I don’t have much appetite.
2. Go the PT 3 times this week and do my exercises at home every day.
3. Finish a rough draft of my resume.
