My plan this week is to do some home improvement work every day. Right now, that’s mostly removing wall paper. If it cools down, I’ll go outside and cut boards for my craft room closet.
My goal is to be in bed by 10:00 on Sunday. I have to take Scott for an endoscopy on Monday, and will need to be up at 5:30 am. Since I normally go to bed aroun…[Read more]

- Set a plan (done)
- Go to work early on Monday (done) and troubleshoot the issues. (done)
- Prioritize my work tasks and set reasonable expectations for completion. If they don’t all get done by the deadline (which is Friday for a bunch of them), be OK with it.
- Grocery shopping Monday night. Get more salads, snacks, and drinks for work…

You know what I call “boring goals”? HABIT BUILDING!
That’s what you are doing. You’re building a habit of eating the proper amount of protein. So it should show up as long as you need until (and even beyond when) it feels like second nature.
Good plan!

Well the McD’s sandwich is a true mystery as the fat in the sandwich theoretically should fill me up fast (any other kind of fat does in very small amounts).
With starchy stuff, basically there are two things going on:
- It reduces to nothing inside your stomach, so you have room for more of it than other hard proteins which don’t reduce in…

Teach me more abt the McD sandwich vs shake pouch fullness!! It is absolutely true and I want to understand!
i’ve slept terribly for the past week; I think the heat is impacting things big time. I need the temps to drop!!
truth: ate a ton of almond cookies when awake in the middle of the night. How can they all fit in there?? This is my achilles…[Read more]

So here’s the wonder of a RNY pouch.
Sausage Egg McMuffin = goes down fine, noooooo problem.
Protein shake = full after three sips!
But I have a shake this morning NOT the breakfast sandwich so I consider that a win to start off my Monday. 🙂
Today my mission is to nail down a venue for my daughter’s sweet 16. We are so behind the curve! We…[Read more]

1. 90 grams of protein a day. It’s boring, but I won’t do it it I don’t have it as a goal. I’m at that point in my recovery where I don’t have much appetite.
2. Go the PT 3 times this week and do my exercises at home every day.
3. Finish a rough draft of my resume.

Got my protein in all but 2 days, so my average is good. And I completed the other goals.

Thanks so much @nikki-massie!!! I received my packages yesterday and love everything. PB2 is one of my favorites (especially the one with chocolate) because I love peanut butter. The power crunch bars are delicious and mint chocolate flavor is another one of my favorites!!!

I am hoping this week will go much more smoothly than last week. I have an appointment with my therapist on Monday, having a bone scan of my hands on Wednesday and chiropractor on Thursday. I will be picking up my grandson everyday at 1 pm (except Wednesday). All meals are planned for the week and my breakfasts and lunches are all prepped. In…[Read more]

So I haven’t posted about it much here, but I am on a mission to improve my environment. When I say environment, I do mean my physical environment. I look around me and everything seems to be junky. I drive a crappy car. My house looks like I’m staying in an Air BnB (read: it looks like I don’t intend to stay very long). I need a HOME! And I need…[Read more]

Grocery shopping done. Meals planned, some prep done (breakfast and lunch). Worked on my daily schedule for the week with the hope that it goes much smoother than last week.
Forgot to eat breakfast today, leftover veal and peppers (and a little linguini) for lunch, steak and baked potato for dinner.

Yikes! Sorry to hear that!
I definitely understand the inconvenience of the arm thing. My right arm does the same thing from my big surgery last year. I cannot lift it but so far up and I cannot reach back with my right arm. My doctor is going to put me in PT once my reconstruction is over.
I’m glad you made it through this week! Kudos.

Week was NUTS! Not only did I have all of the things to do, but I hurt my arm/shoulder (not sure how) and found myself unable to raise my arm past my waist (or sleep either) for a few days. It is doing much better now (although not completely better) but that effected my workouts (I got to the gym twice) but I made sure that I got my steps in. I…[Read more]
