The word that comes to mind for me is persevere.  I have several projects started here that I haven’t been working on.  Mainly because I wasn’t feeling great, but I really need to persevere and complete them.  If I’m being honest with myself, I can push through and do more.

I also need to persevere with my weight loss, so I can get my knee replaced.  I need to persevere with healthy eating, and not give in to cravings and stress eating.  I need to push myself to cook more, and not rely on pre-packaged foods.  The few times I’ve cooked lately have made me feel pampered, and dammit…I’m worth it.

I will persevere in finding out exactly what is going on physically, and will strive to find the best combination (or removal) of meds which make me feel my best.

I need to persevere and go to church every week, even if it’s freezing cold, or I don’t feel like going.  It’s an important source of happiness and fellowship.

I need to stop giving myself excuses to treat myself badly.  I will persevere with learning to love myself, and only talk nicely to myself.  If I can’t say something nice (to myself/about my body), I shouldn’t say anything at all.

I’m not positive that will ultimately be the exact word I choose, but I’m definitely choosing the actions this year.

Last day, yay!  Had 55 ounces, unplugged sporadically, ate over an hour ago, mostly ate junk today, but it was all at home.

I used to average 30 to 40 ounces a day.  50 used to be a really good, rare day.  Now I’m getting 50 to 60 a day, occasionally more.  I’m planning on continuing this challenge, since it makes me feel better.

I used to eat a little snack before going to bed. It helps me sleep better when I do.  It was usually small, like one or two laughing cow pieces.  Or a slice of bread, or a cheese slice.  I’ve found that doing this challenge makes me stay up later to meet my hour, rather than planning on stopping an hour before bed.  I’m not going to continue this one, although it was interesting to try it.  I think it made me more aware of what I can eat for my bedtime snack in the future.

I’ve never intentionally unplugged before, but have enjoyed doing it.  It gets me out of the house to go for a ride, sit on my porch, or do some gardening. I will continue this, and will try to increase my unplugged time.

I almost never cook, although I do eat mostly at home.  I just eat things I can grab, or nuke, or prepared salads…  I bought supplies to cook this week, and still haven’t done it.  I either don’t feel good enough to do it, or I’m busy doing something else.  I am going to try to get in the habit of cooking though.  I know it will be healthier for me.

Unplugged and sat on my porch.  Drank 86 ounces so far.  Ate about 15 minutes ago, and will head to bed in about an hour.  Ate almost everything at home:  dug up 4 bushes, and was so hungry and tired that I got an ice cream cone from McDonald’s.  Was going to get a burger or something else, but got a cone instead (much healthier).  In hindsight, probably should have had a banana at home, but I did enjoy the cone?

Unplugged, drank 65 ounces, ate about 45 minutes ago.  Didn’t cook anything today, but ate at home.  Feeling very shaky today, hopefully tomorrow will be better, and I’ll cook a meal.

Had 50 ounces today. Last ate 1 hr 15 min ago, unplugged for awhile today, not sure if it was an hour.  Ate at home today, but didn’t prepare anything.  Had protein drinks, salad, cheese, apple slices, popcorn. Not feeling great today, so I sat around and snacked a bit.  Will try to make my veggie chili tomorrow (I keep putting it off).

my plan is to have a premier protein drink every day for breakfast.  I’m going to boil some eggs for snacks, I also have some fruit snacks, and Greek yogurt.  I’m going to make chili for meals; I usually get 7 to 8 servings from it.  I’m also going to make low fat potato salad for meals.  I’m going to have an occasional Hershey bar, and probably a nonfat latte most days.

I usually eat at home, seldom eat out, but I almost never cook. Hopefully this challenge will help get me in the habit of actually preparing foods.

Almost forgot to report today. Had 60 ounces, unplugged several hours, ate over an hour ago. Will post plan tomorrow

Unplugged and sat on my porch around 8:30. While sitting there, a deer came strolling up my street, stopped in front of my house, looked at me, and casually strolled on!  Wouldn’t have seen that without this challenge!

Had 62 ounces today. Ate awhile ago, drank and got hungry again, so I just had a little cheese. Heading to bed now.

Unplugged today, had 45 to 50 ounces, ate an hour ago.  Didn’t do so well on planning, but did buy ingredients today.  So, will make chili tomorrow for dinner.  And if I feel better, will make potato salad; if not, on Sunday

Unplugged a few hours today. Only drank about 40 ounces. Had banana dippers a little while ago. I had a salad today, but not much more “planned” foods. Tomorrow I’m going shopping for ingredients to make vegetarian chili, and low fat potato salad.

It has definitely helped me.  I used to average 30 to 40 ounces a day, and 50 was a lot.  Now I consistently get over 50, and often in the 60s.  Today, I had 69 ounces.

I’m unplugging each day, and yesterday I decided to check out a park, and went for a drive, instead of sitting home playing on my iPad.

I ate over half an hour ago, but find I’ll stay up later to reach my goal instead of stopping an hour early, so that isn’t always the best idea.  I don’t think I’ll continue that one after the challenge is over.

I plan on continuing, and increasing, the fluids and unplugging in the future.

I lost track of my water today, but it was somewhere around 50 ounces. Need to get back on track with that. Unplugged for several hours today. Ate a few minutes ago. Had a brain fart and forgot.  Heading to bed now.

59 ounces today, unplugged over an hour (enjoyed sitting on porch, listening to birds), ate 1 1/2 hours ago.

A little of both. When I’m “watching” what I eat, I leave some calories for snacking before bed. I tend to sleep better when I eat a little something before bed.  Plus, sometimes I grab something without thinking about the one hour rule, and then I remember, and stay up later to meet the challenge.
